Is it just a coincidence that the richest countries are typically Protestant countries?
Lets not discount the effect of
Inheritance Laws meant the eldest got everything so the younger sons headed of to the colonies in search of land and "cheap" labour.
The landed gentry when faced with a decrease in cheap labour because of the industrial revolution,in need of cash, married rich, Jewish, American, industrialists daughters (who shared their inheritance equally).
Then add Free Masonry and its ability to unite Protty and Jewish wealth and exclude Catholics

Christianity was the backbone of western civilization. It has directly led to the spread of secularism in the world, whether you want to believe it or not. It has allowed you to be an edgy atheist on the internet. It has allowed you to post on your favorite subreddit, /r/Socialism. We aren't talking about the legitimacy of a man sitting in the clouds judging you, no. We are talking about the historical impact that Christianity has had on Western Civilization. From a sociological, political, philosophical and cultural perspective. This is indisputable. This isn't a good vs. bad guys issue, this is REALITY.

Seeing as how America is the west's greatest achievement, the proverbial greatest nation to ever exist.. American Christianity has succeeded in leaps and bounds. Ironically the cultural decay begun right around the same time atheism and secularism really began to take off. But this is another issue.
Saying Christianity led to secularism is exactly the same as saying Martin Bryant led to tighter gun laws in Australia.
