Something I didn't realise.

We were one of the few teams (possibly the only one) to play the likes of Melbourne, Carlton and Richmond only once in the season (unlike other Top 8 clubs).

Considering this, 13 wins was a very, very good outcome for 2007.

Hopefully we can get a somewhat 'luckier' draw in 2008.

only positve is every time we have a loss like that we come back the following week and smash that team, so who knows but i am really disapionted with todays game i really thought we had a chance..
but clarko iis right we only played crap teams once so we couldve finished higher but after todays efort do think it wouldve made any difernce if we played the blues, demons, tigers, twice ?

It would have given us a false sense of security that we were better than we are.

Better to find out this week than have it confirmed next week.

Gives us a chance to put the Hawthorn machine on the hoist and give it a tune up.

Did he mention you weren't the only team who only played Melbourne, Carlton and Richmond only once too (ahem...Adelaide was another).

The points he should of made were;

1. He was comprehensively outcoached by Paul Roos and his team. They started foxing on the Tuesday and completed the coup d'etau today by us playing to a game plan they expected us too and blew us away.

2. We will never put in such a poor performance again.

3. Appointing new coaches should be limited to a period after the season so it does not disturb the focus of possible applicant assistant coaches who have teams playing in the finals.

4. Darren Goldspink is a w***er.

5. Darren Goldspink is a cheat.

What Clarko should have said is:

Hawks are Swans Biatches
Hawks cant win on the road for sh1t
Hawks dont have an alternative game plan
Hawks were crap today

And Clarko should not be bitching about not getting to play the ******** sides twice a year.
Sick of pathetic excuses.

Too much of this neil craig steady heartbeat stuff I reckon every once and again we need to see clarko get serious and get angry (eg when he went off at duck and robbo). Come on Al its not our home ground its the SCG, break a phone or two in the box.

Add

Hawks are scarred to tackle
Hawks shit their pants when they have to pick a contested football off the ground

Has anyone else noticed when the ball is on the deck how McGlynn, Smith, Birch, Ladson, all just crawl like little girls trying to get the ball? I dont know about anyone else but since the juniors I have always been taught to keep your feet! This lot just shit their pants hit the deck and ussually get tackled, or get their hand ball smothered on the way out and turned over.

It is a very valid point, Collingwood get 14 games at the MCG plus several at TD, they get guaranteed games against Essendon, Richmond and Carlton (2 each year) which is handy when they are no good, Swans have 13 home games, etc, etc. It is very hard to look at the ladder and say this is the order of the teams from best to worst because there is a lot of luck involved in who you are drawn to play. Well, not luck because the AFL rig it that way but you know what I mean.

We played Carlton and Melbourne twice, Tigers just once. But we also played Geelong and Eagles twice. We ended up with a harder draw than Eagles did, based on the finishing position of the teams in 2006, which is pretty harsh considering they won the flag and we were 3rd last. It is not even or fair, not by a long shot.

Did you miss the number he did on the phone against Adelaide at AAMI this season?

As far as im concerned his on his last legs....

He has been at the club 3 years and if he is still coming up with this crap about learning after each humiliating loss his days are numbered..

Next year is his last if he keeps this shit up...4 years no GF appearance you're out of here.

The more I think about it I reckon we lost this game before we got on the ground , the brains were thinking we must must must win and then forgot how to do it, its in the head,
edgar davids be very very frightened, when Hawks turn on you, no one can hear you scream!
