Now they've got carrot!!! you can't have carrot without beetroot and even tho they have it in QLD (according to my subway guy) they won't get it here! grrr!

Thats odd. Every day on the way to work all I see is pineapple farms and the farmers are complaining because most big food compaines bypass their local home-grown product.

According to the kid that made my sub the other day, they got rid of pinapple because of their new take away salad packs. Apparantly people don't need pinapple in their salads.
Well, what about me and my needs huh? did they ever think of that before they just took it away without any notice at all....none

Maybe you might have to buy tins of pineapple just so that you can have it in your salads or subs.

They kill the pineapple, yet keep all the other weird peppers n gherkins n stuff.... go figure! Someone ought to tell them they are in Australia.

Had a drunken in depth conversation with one of the sandwich artists the other day. It's all about their new healthy choice menu. They are getting rid of beetroot, pineapple, caesar sauce and maybe one or two other things that i can't remember. They think people would rather eat Feta cheese, spinach ( i think she said ICK!) and some big leaf lookin thingos - possibly a mainstream vegetable that i am choosing to ignore.
I personally think its a disgrace as while they were at it they thought it would be nice to increase all their prices by 50 cents to a dollar.
Methinks im gonna hafta stop being lazy and make my own subs

Hawain pizza is one of the most popular and the two ingredients are pineapple and ham..... why would subway be so stupid to kill such a huge market?

Whenever I go sub with my mates its all of us getting as much pineapple as possible coz most of their other salad items are for weird people, possibly americans!!

I agree. This is an absolute disgrace - I wanted to started a thread on it myself, but remembered how many people said they couldn't stand pineapple in various other threads (usually pizza!). I couldn't believe it when a few weeks ago, I went to subway, ordered my normal sub, and they said, "Sorry, we don't stock pineapple anymore." I was dumbfounded. Pineapple was one of the best things on subway!!

According to a friend who works at Subway, this no-pineapple thing is huge in America, but many Australian customers are disgusted. Argh. I'm taking my business elsewhere!

That is shocking.. Pineapple is the greatest thing on a Sub! It just wouldnt taste the same without Pineapple.. I think i might have to start making my own at home, just so i can have pineapple

Pineapple was my ultimate favourite too. I used to work at a subway, left only a few days after they scrapped pineapple. Also, as far as I know, Victoria had pineapple and Queensland had beetroot instead.

Subway ditched pineapple, caeser sauce, chilli sauce and american mustard to bring in their new salad menu. Which now stocks things such as cos lettuce, carrot, baby spinach - different cheeses and many other 'salad dressings' An absolute shame, but I don't have to eat it anymore so it doesn't matter!

You should have chained yourself up to the door to stop them ditching Pineapple..

Sorry, I think the boss was already sick of my whinging about the lack of pineapple. I feel very privileged to have eaten the last of the pineapple at my particular subway though. (I ate it for all you subway-pineapple fans out there!)

Plus chaining myself to do the door may have hindered my chances of getting a good reference!

I only have chicken and lettuce. Unless its a kebab, then i have lamb or beef or chicken and lettuce, with a garlic sauce.
