Goin' home, late last night,
suddenly I got a fright,
I looked through the window and surprised what I saw,
Fairies with Boots dancing with a dwarf.

Great concert. I went looking for my disc of it the other day. Can't find it
I donated my DVD collection to St Vinnies a while back, with the exception of Saturday Night at the Capitol/Oils on the Water, TISM's White Albun and the Dirty Harry box set.

Last song at the Goat Island on the water concert - Stand in Line. Brilliant

Nothing beat the 1984 performance of the Oils at Portarlington Oval, the encore - I... don't.... wanna... be.... the... one

I'm an innocent bystander caught in the path
Waitin' at the back whilst the corporates attack
Assaults the senses with relentless scenes of passion and delight
I cut up all my options and went running for my life!

And I don't wanna be the one
And I don't wannabe the one wanna be the one.
And I don't wannabe the one wanna be the one

Mate I was there. Went with my older sister and her friends. There was this hessian fence around the footy oval and I clearly remember being patted down by some security dude. I was about 17 at the time.
Painters and Dockers were the support. Everyone was booing them. Garret came on and had a crack at the crowd for booing them. Great night.

SHIT! You were there! Everything you recall is exactly right! P&D's were great too, we went nuts in the moshpit at "Kill kill kill".

I believe it was the start of the Species Deceases tour. I'd had my license for just a few months and drove my first car down there... an LH Torana, bench seat in the front (much better config for gobbies from chicks than seats these days) and "3 on the tree" gear change.

Good times :thumbsu:

One of these days, I'm going to cut you into little pieces...

Nick Mason at his best. Watch at 4:43 - he loses a stick and just keeps on going. I've stood in that amphitheatre in Pompeii and it's like sacred ground to me. Listened to (and destroyed) my Dad's Floyd records as a kid. First concert I went to was Pink Floyd at the Tennis Centre in 1988 (as a 16 year old). The dope haze in the venue as I walked in was incredible...

Went from the sublime to the ridiculous ... got two new DVD's in

The Story of the Kelly Gang (1906) ... well actually it's a DVD with the known remaining bits of the movie that have been restored, as best as possible. The original 109 years ago went for about 60 - 70 minutes, all that remains is about 15 minutes and some of that is very badly degraded.

It's an important movie, the first feature length film ever made (arguably) and was made in Australia, the only challengers are a couple of films of boxing bouts.

To the ridiculous

Blitzkrieg: Escape from Stalag 69 (2008) ... made with just about zero budget but has more **** and fanny than it's knows what to do with

Go to youtube for the trailer

With a bit of nude school.

Great memories.

Were you at Kooyong, don't ask me the year, maybe 85. We were on the court at ground level going sick. Pets did some crowd dancing and put his arm around my shoulder, we shared 2 magic seconds. Massive unit.

Wifey just walked past and said quite bluntly "don't even think about touching me tonight.....it's too hot"
Me thinks she needs a little persuasion music

I think Bombers 2003 wrote that song. Proof?

"I'm looking in your eyes.... I'm looking in your big brown eye!"

o_O

We argued on the channel train to Paris
The vin rouge helped us make it sweet again
But by the time that we got down to Lyon
Everything I said was wrong and you cursed me in the rain
We split up for a while in Barcelona
We met up six days later in Madrid
I was hoping that the break would make things go a little better for us
And for a little while it almost did
Now I'm in a bar in Copenhagen
And i'm trying hard to forget your name
And I'm staring at the label on a bottle of cerveza
And every ****ing city feels the same

You said to call you when I got to London
A French girl told me that you'd left a note
I said to her "I like your accent" and she thought I sounded funny
So we ended up drinking in Soho
Foolishly I followed you to Dublin
Like a ghost I walked the streets of Temple Bar
And all the bright young things were throwing up their Guinness in the gutters
And once I thought I saw you from afar
Now I'm in a nightclub in Helsinki
And they're playing La Vida Loca once again
And I can't believe I'm dancing to this crap but I'm a chance here
And every ****ing city sounds the same

At a cafe in the port of Amsterdam
An E-mail from you said you'd gone to Rome
For a minute I thought maybe but my funds were running low
And anyway it sounded like you weren't alone
So I headed north until I got to Hamburg
A chilly city suits a troubled soul
And on the Reeperbahn I paid a woman far too much
To kick me out before I'd even reached my goal
Now I'm in a restaurant in Stockholm
And the waiter here wants me to know his name
And I can order sandwiches in seven different languages
But every ****ing city looks the same
Arriverderci, au revoir, aufwiedersen, hasta la vista baby
Yeah, every ****ing city's just the same

Great post MH. Live in Pompeii is my fave music vid.
Floyd at that stage were at the peak of their powers. Absolute rockgods in my books.

Saw your face last night on the tube
Strong, fine snake in a sucker's vaccum
15 clicks and it's time to say bye
15 trips and a love that won't die

Why should I care?
Why should I care?
Girls of fifteen
Sexually knowing
The ushers are sniffing
Eau-de-cologning
The seats are seductive
Celibate sitting
Pretty girls digging
Prettier women
Magically bored
On a quiet street corner
Free frustration
In our minds and our toes
Quiet storm water
M-m-my generation
Uppers and downers
Either way blood flows
Inside outside, leave me alone
Inside outside, nowhere is home
Inside outside, where have I been?
Out of my brain on the 5:15
Out of my brain on the train
Out of my brain on the train
A raft in the quarry
Slowly sinking
Back of a lorry
Holy hitching
Dreadfully sorry
Apple scrumping
Born in a war
Birthday punching
He man drag
In the glittering ballroom
Gravely outrageous
In my high heel shoes
Tightly undone
Know what they're showing
Sadly ecstatic
That their heroes are news
Inside outside, leave me alone
Inside outside, nowhere is home
Inside outside, where have I been?
Out of my brain on the 5:15
Out of my brain on the train
Out of my brain on the train, on the train
I'm out of my brain
Out of my brain on the train
Here it comes
Out of my brain, on the train, on the train
Out of my brain on the train
Why should I care?
Why should I care?
