Pretty obvious that Gaffy is waiting on seeing what west coast can offer him once lycetts medical with Port had been done today and its confirmed he's off to Port. There is no other reason why he would wait this long (a day before free agency). If Lycett goes and we have the cash for Gaff he will stay. If lycett stays and we cant come up with the extra cash he will go to North. This is my opinion but it makes sense...

He doesnt want to dampen the supporters celebration at the bnf, albeit a premiership year.
Seems though the cats out of the bag and he might not be able to leave without taking some of the limelight. Something Gaff would be uncomfortable with.

Ever think he's staying quiet because he doesn't want to put a downer his teammates' celebrations? To take the spotlight off the team's achievement in their week of celebrations?

You don't have a clue what he's going through at the moment. Gaff's making the most difficult decision of his life on the back of his dad's illness, decking an 18yo kid and missing out on his lifelong dream.

It's five days since the season finished and one from free agency beginning. Stop criticising a bloke in a situation you couldn't possibly comprehend - especially one who has given your club years of fantastic service and who was a major part in you winning a premiership. You just sound bitter.

We still haven't landed Gaff. Looks right with just adding Hall and Polec. We also had a soft draw and still missed the 8 this year. The key will be Simpkin, LDU, EVW making a a big step up and the likes of Garner and Wood staying fit to support Brown.
