At the first sign of resistance, his 2006 Australian Open campaign is over. Is anyone actually surprised by this, because if you pay the least bit of attention, you’ll realise he is just another average player.

Has top five ability, but either doesn't believe it, or is convinced he doesn't have to work hard enough to use it.

As soon as he got broken in the third set, it was over. He gave up.

He's a mentally weak player and won't win another slam until he fixes his head. For someone ranked as highly as he is, he's got so little confidence in himself. Needs a sports psychologist.

Talk about "glass half empty".

His opponent was superb. Not much A-Rod could do...

Bagdatis would have beaten anybody today as he didnt miss anything but calling Roddick an average player is a bit harsh considering he has been in the top3 or 4 players for the last 4 years

Rankings mean nothing in tennis.

Its grand slams that count and Roddick has failed constantly at the grand slams.

Sees the gate wide open and rushes in

So Hewitt is not an average player either by your standards

No Hewitt isnt an average player and i have never said he was so what are you going on about?I may dislike him but i never said he was an average player either. How about you have a think before you post stuff like this because you will end up looking like a dill if you continue to post crap like this

It was a sad day IMO. (Very nice eye candy)

I wish he learnt to stop playing up at the net!!!
