Should play him next week?

I know he hasn't been dominating the SANFL but I think he's a better option that Jacobs at the moment. I think we looked a far better side last week when Jenkins was rucking.

We've got nothing to lose by trying him out. He can't play any worse than Jacobs at the moment, and it will give Jacobs a run in the SANFL to find some form.

We traded him in for insurance, but no one thought it would be insurance for Jacobs playing this badly.

I say play him. Like has been said, he can't do any worse than Jacobs. Jacobs has been a predictable, uncompetitive pushover all year. Maybe playing Graham for a week will give Jacobs the kick in the arse he needs.

I just do not understand why we would bring in a inconsistent undersized ruckman come forward to help a ruckman, rather than a ruckman who can ruck.

I'm happy for LJ to come in, but if Smack is getting a game then we are clearly tanking...which given the competence of the current administration, wouldn't be surprising.

Angus should get a run when we play GWS in 2 weeks time, just to give Sauce a rest. That's the only reason we recruited him, wasn't it? Only plays in case of emergency, or matches against pissweak opposition.

yeah bringing Smack in to help Jacobs isnt the answer. Jacobs has ben well below his best even at the beginning of games, so i dont see how bringing in another relieving ruck will help.

the consensus seems ot be that our clearance work etc has been down because Jacobs hasnt been spoon feeding the mids like last season. if thats the real area of concern then i'd be bringing in Graham too.

he might be poor around the ground, but it's in actual ruck we need start performing, and thats the one thing he's actually pretty good at.

Given he is only 26, which is the same year Maric and Griffen apparently stopped spudding it up, why not give him a try? I'm told on Bigfooty enough times that big men take time....

I think he has potential which he won't fulfil sitting in the SANFL, however he was acquired purely as a backup and I don't see him being viewed as any more than that by the coaching staff. Barring an injury to at least 2 of Jacobs, McKernan and Jenkins, hard to see him getting a game this year.

McKernan will definitely play this week. As much as I think he's a mentally fragile peanut, he tore it up in the SANFL on the weekend and we need a tall marking forward to replace Tex. Looks like Johnston might get shafted again to me. They won't bring Graham in unless Sauce goes out of the team, which I can't see happening unless he is genuinely injured, or if he gets rested against a shitty team as mentioned by a poster above.

Jacobs is so far from last years form it isn't funny. Serious questions need to be asked of both Jacobs and the ruck coach Clarke. How he continues to escape criticism is mind boggling.
