Didak is a star, and his game is based on skill.

He has never been the quickest bloke going, never been the most ferocious at the ball....his weapons have been ability to find space and then his disposal. Not sure why so many pies fans were so quick to write him off??

BJ is the other who we need back, his run off half back is under-rated, although his absence has some what seen his value to the team become more obvious.

Krak and Macaff....sure if fit and in form they would prob be best 22....but they are both coming from a long way back....and would have to push out Goldsack, Elliott, Fas or Sinclair....

Krak might be an upgrade on Sinclair in terms of attack, but a big downgrade in terms of defensive pressure.

Krak is a super tackler and better than Sinclair at executing that particular skill.

We have enough of that.

Kick the goal from the spillage and we don't need to apply defensive pressure as it will be another centre bounce.

U can never have enough defensive pressure... ever

More is always better.

However krak > sinclair easily.

Sinclair was our equal 8th highest tackler... and when that is his ROLE his not doing it very well

whats the chances of kraks or caff or BJ getting a run next week? How did they go in the twos?

Dont think any of them will play again this year honestly but i have high hopes.

Sinclair got a few assists on the weekend, including the crucial one to Beams at the end of the 3rd quarter. Has definitely improved leaps and bounds since the beginning of the season. Even had spurts in the midfield on the weekend. Think he will be quite a player. At this stage though, a fit Krak is without a doubt a significant upgrade and will improve our side by a couple of goals a game.

I dont sinclair will ever be a "good" player considering his kicking is below par. I think he can be a servicable solid player

Sinclair up until his injury was a much improved player and his disposal was definitely on the improve but the time away from the game with injury has hurt his game.

His tackling pressure was very good right from the start but his delivery was a worry but he improved that a lot before the injury and he has not been the same since.

Elliot, Sincliar, Seedsman, Mooney, Yagmooor etc should only be in contention if the senior players are injured (which they have been). With a full strength side they wouldnt be anywhere near it especially come finals time.

Their time will come but atm they must play the waiting game.

A huge piece, not just another piece, but you are correct. Let's hope he can stay fit. He will make a massive difference to us. BJ will play too and Krak will probably be a sub. 3 massive ins for the Pies, all of which looked like they would not play again in 2012.

Talking about pieces, the efforts of Dawes and Reid on Saturday are slowly completing the puzzle.

We are a chance my friends, we beat a very disciplined side in Sydney. Massive chance as our boys confidence would be pretty high right now.

In hindsight, having Daisy come off earlier than expected proved to be a good thing for Dids. We got an extra quarter into him to build his fitness base.

And agree with other posters - don't think Krak and Caff are going to have enough time to build their fitness and touch. Shame, but we couldn't carry too many unfit types in finals

Best thing about Didak's game for me, was he seemed pretty keen to get in and get his hands dirty. Almost forgot how good he can be.

Maybe, but at the moment teams that have good kicking skills make it far less relevant. It may be different in finals but also in finals you need to kick goals at crunch times and sometimes with limited opportunities.

Krak is this player

Far out we all forget the difference they can make.

So much better for the team's structure and confidence.

They were in average-mild form for a long long time.

May that form never return.

The sooner Krak comes back the better! In my opinion we are lacking a good crumber. All our small forwards think they are marking types. Elliot in the first half was flying for everything, then adjusted in the second half and stayed down, and was my dangerous!

wish his little soccer flick came off, was not expected by anyone out on the field, unfortunately it fell straight to a swan, but was very classy none the less

In terms of defensive pressure, it depends a whole lot on who your playing.

For e.g, we have to maximise defensive pressure against Hawthorn. We won't match their elite kicking off half back and inside 50 without it.
