I see some of the port boys went today if they could report on here how Stiffy went it would be great to hear

Thanks in advance............

Looked like a guy who hasn't played footy for a couple of months. Didn't see much of it, fumbled, didn't chase defenders. Looked a bit 'solid' too. Not much of a day out, but not surprising - from your pov he had plenty of game time and got thru ok, which is about all you could ask for first up. I heard he's playing 2s for Sturt next week, cos Port have the bye.

Thanks for that i heard he had a bit of a belly

Did he even play today? I think he kicked one goal from a lucky free. Did absolutely f^&^%*k all, which was a pity as we didnt get much of a chance to bag him about his recent indescretion. Scott Stevens was just as good. Both didnt seem to want to be out there today, Damon White was AWESOME and Ladhams was fantastic.

Personally, I wouldn't rush Stiffy back. At the moment, we are doing ok without him. I'd like to see him get some form, fitness and match time in the SANFL. Get him cherry ripe before we even think about bringing him back in.

He shouldn't have played in the 1's, as I said last week. Is obviously WAY out of shape, and as usual, looked totally disinterested. He should have come back through the Magpies' reserves IMO, was a total waste of space out there.

Yes sorry to burden you with his services.

When he doesn't get the ball hand delivered to him, he's very disinterested. I've not seen him play a decent game for the magpies in ages. Not saying he hasn't but I've not seen it. He's carrying a bit of excess baggage around the waist too.

Scott Stevens was barely OK btw, but didn't really contribute much either. We were too busy stuffing around trying to find a matchup for Damon White and didn't allow him to really settle anywhere though. Didn't notice much of Maric either.

Considering he hasn’t played a SANFL game since Round 22 2002 isn’t to bad I guess.

Scott Stevens has been Port Adelaide Magpies second best forward this season behind that Waterhouse boy

Every Port AFL listed player had a shocker on Sunday. It's like they had a pact.

I reckon give Stiffy another game in the sanfl and then bring him straight back in. Start him on the bench if need be. We desperately need Stiffy's grunt and aggression heading into finals.

yeah generally Scott Stevens has been great in the SANFL this year. He was shunted around a fair bit yesterday, along with most of our other "talls", or close to talls, to try and stop Norths' forward line dominance. Just didn't see a lot of the ball. Clive actually did OK when the delivery was better, don't think he could shoulder too much of the blame for the loss. I mean even Corey AhChee was comprehensively beaten yesterday and that doesn't happen all that often.

I didn't realise Stiffy hadn't played SANFL for that long. Seems like only yesterday, guess I'm getting old. :(

The best quote I heard from the outer wing was when the ball beat Johncock to the boundary line and someone yelled that he needed a Commodore to get to it.

Yeah he looked very rusty, quite unfit, unwilling to run or chase defenders and most of the time unwilling even to provide an option or contest.

Scott Stevens has been great for our club. Hes played many fine games in the past year and a half for us. Been an excellent spare parts KPP where hes played outstanding games up forward and down back for us. I think he deserves another shot in the Crows at some stage.

Maric was good but he played on a skinny 3rd gamer. He still needs to work harder when playing that kick behind the play. He gets caught in no mans land too often and doesnt make enough contests in defence. Took a big mark, and kicked a good goal from an excellent tackle.

Ladhams was good. He gets a lot of free kicks tho. As far as im concerned, if you "slip" on purpose into an opponents legs thats coming from the opposite direction you dont deserve to get a free kick for high contact. He got 4 free kicks for that yesterday and North got at least two goals from it. Its the same as ducking your head...shouldnt be a free. Hes gotta be close to selection as well. I dunno if his attitude has changed but hes very good at SANFL level.
