Anyone else boycotting the GF

Love the Grand Final, one of the 3 best games of the year. Really don't understand why you would boycott if you like footy.

I never dreamt I would boycott a GF Cogga, but in '98 my hatred of North found me hoping the Crows would win the flag. When I came to that realisation, I decided I'd be better off on the golf course. I switched off last year to avoid seeing Collingwood winning and will do so again on Saturday if things look grim. I would have thought a Richmond supporter would know how deep is the hatred of Collingwood and thus understand why people might avoid watching them win. I'm with 1980GFVideo - I hope it's an absolute smashing. Apart from the Tiger flags, the Lions' flogging of Collingwood is my favorite GF.

Good to see another Collingwood hater Strawbs. I was devastated after Friday night but could only console myself with the fact that I had a chance to watch them lose on Saturday.

Ive been hanging on Steve Johnson being fit and as much as Im ashamed to say it, hoping that Jolly wouldnt come up.

Totally agree, un-Victorian to not watch it IMO.

I'll be loading up on the Pies tomorrow morning (hopefully they drift out again), then cheering my lungs out for the Cats

as a postscript to this thread, i have decided to postpone my trip to the museaum and celebrate the occasion with a barbie at my place. i woke in a cold sweat bolt upright last night thinking what became of melbourne culture i am working hard to instill into my daughters..GF and melb cup are institutions in this old town and it wouldn't be a warm up to the GF without posting this...always brings a tear to the eye
