Went to Richmond oval and was impressed with much of what I saw
There was much better talk amongst
The boys and very constructive talk about where to be and who is looking after whom. This has been a
Significant improvement since earlier in the year

pedlar needs to get fit but will be a fan favourite when he gets his body right. Is explosive out of the middle and can kick like a mule eg goal from 55m on Saturday

Parnell a player who has a footie brain and uses ball well

cook showing more intensity and defensive action. Also a good football brain and user.

our defence played very well as a team and Parnell now wraps up the crumbs that weren’t there before. Murray mcasey worrell and borlase deceloping good chemistry

strachan has come on leaps
And bounds this year with his game
Around ground. He could Tap Better to advantage still

not sure about O’Connor and Hately I don’t know if they have enough tricks.
Murphy looked quite dynamic when he went into midfield in third quarter and
Lifted Side

Gollantis looking more like a player in the last week or two can take a
Contested Mark and Moving better across the ground

the issue is that many are not ready yet for AFL but plenty to look forward to if the can have a decent pre season.

I think next year will see 2-3 of these players become regulars with one solid season of SANFL behind them

It is probably worth noting that Westies are at the bottom of the table, so there was a bit of downhill skiing involved there. We do get Glenelg who are undefeated next week which will be an interesting test if we can stay healthy.

Still, the talent pool that we're building seems to be in good nick at the moment.

There is no doubt golumless that the boys are really starting to invest
In What we are doing And the top ups
Like latchford and co can actually play a little bit this year

the unfortunate thing is that they are not quite ready atm for the big time as worrell O’Connor etc have shown already this year missing that development year last year really hurt

We did beat the Double blues at Unley..the same Double Blues that pantsed Port at Alberton and beat South on the weekend

We're not there yet.

The backline is a disorganised mess without Talia. Can anyone explain why Kelly always gets to play on the least dangerous forward while Hamill, McPherson/Worrell/Murray, Jones, etc have to play on more dangerous players? Smith and Doedee are also having to be more accountable, which hurts our rebound.

We badly need a small forward with genuine speed. Rowe is a clever player but he's never going to chase down players like a Tippa from Essendon. A decent half forward is also a must, but fortunately we've got some promising looking guys in the SANFL.

The midfield needs class, badly. Jones is playing in the backlines and Hately has gone backwards since his draft year. Sloane is cooked and we're being carried by Laird, Keays and Seedsman. Pedlar should end up in there, but we need to use our likely top five pick on the best available mid.

ROB hasn't been great this year, which has also exposed our midfield. Need to start thinking about drafting a more athletic ruck who can develop in the SANFL for a few years.

Our backline at present does not give enough run and rebound. I can see Parnell changing this and adding to our attacking mindset.
