And then he comes on the ground gives away a couple of free kicks resulting in opposition goals and sprays the ball off the side of his foot every time he gets the ball, and you remember why he plays in the WAFL most of the time.
Well I was thinking of a player that we could use as a dirty sniper to handle situations like the Tom Jonas incident and we are ok with him getting suspended for any amount of weeks.

McGinnity fits that profile.

We just need to invest in a set of 'Bash Brothers' like the Mighty Ducks had.

Fkin useless on the field but when the biff starts, send them out, clean up, cop the punishment and good to go again in a few weeks.

Schoey and Butler just said on their podcast that Simmo and 40 of the players went to the movies yesterday to watch.....The nice guys.
Makes me wonder which players missed the movie ;)

It's not even about mongrel as much as it's about passion. You see Lycett celebrate basically every goal he kicks - it's like Hodge's GF goal celebration, you can see how much every mini victory means to him.

Too many of our guys look like they are trying to perform their role and do what the coaches tell them, but it doesn't appear to be a matter of life and death to them.

Guys like Sheppard, Gaff and Mackenzie (et al.) - they're not soft, but you can't really see them getting pumped up and lifting those around them. They just put their heads down and get on with their job

That's fine but we have too many of those types and not enough that wear their hearts on their sleeves.

I'd also be supportive of the coaches somehow penalising players for continuing to appeal to the umpires in contests. ****ing boils my blood the amount of times our players turn away from their opponents to whinge to the umpire
