I love GF day. I have a bit of a ritual.

I’m having bacon and eggs for breakfast and slobbing around. I think I’ll watch the 2021 GF at some point. Other options are the AFLW game I stupidly missed today or the round 23 match from 2018 with those gorgeous jumpers.

Then I do my GF day “make the perfect hamburger” thing. Watch the GF, then do some Bigfooty lurking. It’s amazing what a useful and fulfilling life I lead!

Used to do a BBQ but nothing since covid.

I look forward to seeing pictures of the burger in the food chat.

Have bought some frozen party pies and sausage rolls for lunch.
No set rituals, usually just settle on the lounge for the day around midday. I usually don't care too much for the pregame stuff but it's nice to have in the background in case there is a meatloaf type trainwreck.

I used to tune into the couldabeens on GF day. I like them, it’s a bit weird that they’re no longer doing their thing.

Since I live in Sydney, people selfishly schedule birthday parties on the day without knowledge/care about the AFL Grand Final.

That being said, I think I'm coming down with something, so it might be a couch day after all.

I have been known to watch the kick over the Yarra contest. It’s the day of the year when you get to be really lame
