The deck is definitely stacked against you once you go from the senior to rookie list, but there’s currently a few rolling around. The guys I can immediately identify are Seamus Mitchell, James Jordan and Dylan Williams, but I reckon I’m missing one or two because that’s based on 2023 uncontracted players. JT and Keeffe also went on with it I’m just not sure whether they count considering the unusual circumstances. It’s a bloody tough path.

Let’s use a more appropriate metric to more accurately benchmark your claim eg 2 full seasons of VFL.

On that metric Draper has plenty of time left to prove himself.

Draper has missed a lot of footy. Off the top of my head, Josh Thomas was similar. Drafted 2009, didn't debut till 2013. Eked out a pretty handy career.

It'd be a good idea to give Arlo another year. There's been so many disruptions to the start of his career. Originally had been considered a top 15 talent in his draft before his injury. He has a lot of upside we haven't every scratched the surface of yet.
His brother will be drafted 2024, is considered top handful of players in that draft.

He does things that make him look top 15 talent but he went in the 40s. Doesnt get enough of the ball. Id back our coaching staff and list management team to work out if one year they can get him near to where they want him to be or go in another direction.

It’s a real shame, he definitely has some elite traits but lacks the ball-finding one.
