Game Day Around The Grounds Rounds 16 - 20

This thread is for discussion of the games we aren't playing in. It is not a thread to constantly refer to how well/badly we are going in our own games, nor is it a place to ruin the enjoyment of others with constant jabs or referrals to Carlton's woes.

Any posts that do so continuously will get deleted, and anyone who continues to push the envelope afterwards will find themselves threadbanned.

Thanks all!

Bergman with a wonderful first clearance of the match.
Except he kicked it the wrong way to an opposition forward 🤣🤣

Sheedy playing for Richmond did the same thing against Collingwood on Anzac Day in 1977. He probably had a brain fade and thought that he was still playing for Tom Hafey.

Some punters get all excited about Players kicking a bagful against Norf, West Coast or Richos. I don't.

I'll get excited when you do it against Collingwood.... that is when it really counts.... norf ... pffft

You already have your 2026 coach sitting there and yet instead of giving him a warm up for a few rounds you persist with Kenny.

So much for the whole "I'll step aside when our season's cooked" talk from earlier in the year that they spouted.

It won't happen but I'm cheering like mad for Richmond tomorrow.

Pull the upset of the year and keep the Crows top of the ladder.
Can’t see it happening but the Crows will maybe get their chance to earn top spot in a couple weeks time when they take on the Pies at home.

What a build up that will be!

Rivalry round...
24pt margin
93pt margin
44pts
66pts
49pts
99pts
101pts
Assuming Pies will 60+
Saints and Dees might be close. Only because they are equally as horrible as each other.
Miss the traditional rivalry round

They really need to bring more themed rounds

Rivalry, heritage etc

Aints certanties today.

Norf, Richmond and * next as well. Four late season wins in a row could really put them in contention for finals.

Oh no…. they’ve won five games for the year and that’s impossible.

Round of blow outs; Thursday night’s game is the closest thing to a contest in terms of scoreline - and that game was dead at quarter time (although the Swans were ‘aight for a quarter).

The gulf between quality and struggling teams is enormous and will probably get worse with Tassie’s entry.

August will be a month of beltings when top 4 meets bottom 4.
