It sounds like CW want to jump the superhero shark sooner rather than later with rumours that they're also looking into doing a live Young Justice show. There was a cartoon of it a few years back that was actually pretty good but it's hard to see all three shows working in the same universe. Roy could easily cross over to help set it up but either way I hope it's a few seasons down the track if at all.

It's basically what Marvel are doing with movies DC are trying to do with TV

Interesting - Stephen Amell denying he will be in the BvS movie (Momoa said the same re Aquaman I think).

Legit or a bluff? In the comments, someone noted he didn't say 'Justice League' so that could leave the door open for the future if this is indeed a true statement.

I'd love it if DC connected the TV and movie universes but if they don't, they seem to be building quite a good TV universe anyway!

I dont see him being in the BvS movie. i think a small chance of a cameo in Justice League since Green Arrow is a outsider in the JL. And i dont think they will do much with Ray Palmer and i hope they dont put him in a show on his own, The Atom is nothing more than a throw away character that no one cares about. I think he will just be in Arrow for his brain and might be atom in a few scenes but nothing too important.

I don't think Stephen Amell is a good enough actor to be in big budget movies so i hope he isn't involved. He's great for the tv series though.

Does it matter how big time the actor is, i mean when talking about the Flash i agree but with Green Arrow who is not used much in the Justice League [He is like the poor mans Batman, Hell even Arrow is steeling Batmans villains every year] And they will prob use something like with the New52 where Green Arrow is the Governments choice to be put in the JL and they refuse because Hes not good enough and they dont want some random there who will report to the government.

Even with the success of the show Green Arrow isnt a big enough character to deserve to be in the justice league for more than a cameo, So why not just use the TV actor in both. But thats if they even want to use GA.

Confirmed that there will be a 2 hour crossover with Flash in Ep8. Will be interesting to see how they do it given Arrow is already established with its characters and own events whilst Flash will still be in its early steps.

"Episodes 8 of both shows, Arrow and Flash, are going to be a two-hour crossover event," Kreisberg told TV Guide. "[Also], in Episode 4, Felicity [Emily Bett Rickards] is going to come to The Flash."

Apparently Roy's costume for season 3 - looks pretty good!

Can't wait! Haven't seen the panel from Comic Con yet but I think they teased both Ra's Al Ghul and Oracle? Can't wait for the new season!

So apparently Ra's Al Ghul is one of the villians in season 3. Wow, didn't think they could pull that off.

Why other than Count Vertigo and Merlyn [Both were changed extremely from the comic versions] almost all of the villains have been stolen from Batman for the show. with all the hints last year it was bound to happen.

Vertigo and Merlyn haven't really appeared in any motion pictures, that's one of the main reasons why they're able to use them. From memory they're not even allowed to mention the name 'Gotham' in the show. There's also a lot of other DC characters that they're not allowed to use in the show. Ra's Al Ghul is a pretty big one to get.

Count Vertigo, China White and Merlyn the Magnificent are classic Green Arrow villains, thats why they are not in motion pictures. But Arrow have taken Deadshot, Deathstroke [prob most known for batman but was first a Teen Titans enemy] League of Assassins, Firefly, Solomon Grundy are all Batman Villains, Amazo and Professor Ivo are Justice League villains, Brother Blood was Teen Titans. but you cant blame them green arrow doesnt have many of his own memorable villains. and Green Arrow has always been seen as an imitation batman due to both being billionaires, Orphans and have no super powers, along with the Arrow cave [Batcave] Arrow car [Batmobile] trick arrows [batarangs and other things in the utility belt] and side kicks.

along with the relationship between Arrow and Det lance is much like Batman/Gordon. same with how Felicity is a Oracle type character just not a cripple and was never a sidekick like Oracle was for batman. Also Huntress was a batman character even became Batgirl at one stage.

Pretty much all the characters you mentioned haven't appeared in any motion pictures (recently). Hence why they can be used. The fact that they can't even mention Gotham city in the show makes it surprising that they can get Ra's Al Ghul to appear.

The TV show Hannibal can't use or even reference Clarice Starling and she is from the same series.

Hannibal is way different to the way TV shows can use comic characters when the producers are working with the comic book company, they can use anyone they want to they just need DC to tick them off and if there is a good story they will let them, Some of the producers are DC employees and writers. If they wanted to they can use the same villains as they will in Batman Vs Superman or Justice League because the TV and Film universes are different creative universes. Otherwise Constantine would not be a TV show because of Guillermo Del Toro's Justice League Dark movie he has been working towards for about 5 years and hopes to film after Pacific Rim 2.

Comic book shows work different to normal book adaptations especially when working with the comic company on story like they did with Smallville and are doing with Flash and Arrow. As for not being able to use the words Gotham city is because the Gotham show had been in works for a few years, same with the Flash show and Constantine. Much the same as the scrapped CW version of Wonder Woman ever since NBC walked away from the project. If Gotham gets canceled the CW shows could use the name but cant because of different networks and other promotional things.

I hope we see Oliver get back some of his infallibility, if that's the right word, from season 1. He seemed very weak and ineffectual in Season 2.

Just finished season 2. Thought the first season was just a reincarnation of small like but season 2 really impressed me. Sure it's not the tightest show but I do like how they tried to make one single story instead of villain of the week this season. It's really coming together. Deathstroke was amazing, Manu was superbly cast I believe.

Curiously, does queen actually pay Diggle and Felicity? Cause this would be their FT jobs haha.
