I will say this again, early on Reid SHOULD NOT have Played on J Brown.
And he should have been dropped and Brown should have replaced him (N Brown)
Hopefully when Goldsack regains form and fitness we can have him back instead of Reid.
Brown on Reid was a man against a boy.
Why wouldn't you go with Presti on him from the outset?
No he wasn't. That's unfair. He tried under the circumstances of poor delivery. The disappointing aspect of that is that Collingwood is capable of much better delivery than what they have shown in the last two weeks.Cloke - WOG
He has been disappointing. He showed more signs of being a better player last season.Wood - wake up please
He's been getting a game because he has been good, and he will become a good defender, but he was poor last night, and he should not have played on Brown. Maybe Collingwood felt that Reid could do the job due to Brown's recent form and injury concern, and if they were thinking that way, then I always concerned that could happen. Brown and Fevola should always be treated as fully fit if they have been selected to play.Reid - How is he getting a game?
I wouldn't bank on Goldsack. I think Reid is a better player. Goldsack is handy depth, and can play a role from time to time adequetly, but that's all.Hopefully when Goldsack regains form and fitness we can have him back instead of Reid.
See Brown shove Reid in the back and take a mark and goal in the first quarter as well? That's a goal that Brown kicked on Reid when Brown should have been penalised.Presti had the same amount of gaoals kicked against him and Brown had presti done cold on the lead a few times but the lions either chose the wrong option or went for goal themselves see the Mcgrath kick at goal that failed to make the distance after brown wrong footed presti and had 20m on him.
Reid was not as bad as people make out, Presti had the same amount of goals kicked against him.
Brown had presti done cold on the lead a few times but the lions either chose the wrong option or went for goal themselves, for example see the Mcgrath kick at goal that failed to make the distance after brown wrong footed presti and had 20m on him.
Brown is a superstar and Reid held his own as well as could be expected at this point in his development, Presti was more competent but he is also vastly more experienced and physically hardened player.
Comparing the amount of goals kicked on them is somewhat simplistic, Presti performed much better on Brown than Reid did which is to be expected. They may have had the same amount kicked on them but Presti played on him in the second half where we were playing awful and the lions were dominating the midfield, Reid played on him in the first half where we were playing much better and the Lions midfield wasn't doing whatever it wanted.
I don't understand why people are blaming our back line with Fev and Brown up front 88 points is not the problem. Our mid and forward was the problem, Brisbane's back is decimated we should have kicked 120+. Structure fell apart again.
Brown on Reid was a man against a boy.
Why wouldn't you go with Presti on him from the outset?
Because moving Presti off Fevola cost us the game. Till half time Fevola had kicked 1 goal on Presti in the last 10 quarters of football he had played against him.
