Has there been a better pace attack than the McGrath, Gillespie and Lee combination for Australia?
My guess is maybe Thomson, Lillee and Walker in 75/76.

I don't know who the 3rd guy was with Miller & Lindwall but even if it was me it would still have been some attack.

Bill Johnston for a little way, then Allan Davidson for a little while.

Not a bad bowling attack - Lindwall, Miller, Johnston/Davidson.

Just as Johnston retired, Davidson hit the scene, so there was no let up. And just as Davidson came into the side, so did Benaud, so you had 3 of the best quickies ever, and one of the best spinners ever in the same team - pretty handy indeed.

But in my view, not much better than today's current bowling attack - i rate it as good as any to grace a test field.

You forgot 'Gus' Gilmour. With him bowling his left armers and getting fatter every minute that attack would destroy this latest one.

The England attack(if you can call it that) that bowled all day to Marsh & Taylor without taking a wicket has a special place in the hearts of all England cricket followers.
