I was reading that the selectors were meeting to name the squad which will be announced tommorow-so I was wondering whether you think Shane Warne will be picked & whether you think he should be picked.

I for one will be gutted if he doesn't come as he's a bit of a character, he gets the crowd stirred up & he WAS a great bowler.

Yeah, Warney will be in the team, he's performed very well over there in the past and he'll be primed to take plenty of English scalps once more. Warney may not be a great bowler but given the right conditions, e.g. fast turning wicket versus English batsmen, he becomes a very good bowler capable of tearing a side apart. What sort of pitches do you think they'll prepare over there Dipper, favouring the pace or spin bowlers?? Either way I feel pretty comfortable. Good luck to the Englishmen anyway.

Warne got in but McGill was very unlucky and missed out. I can't see McGill making the trip overseas unless Warne or Miller are unable to take their spot.

Thank you for your message of luck ant, in response to the question on pitches-they will offer bugger all help to the spinners.Last summer the amount the ball swung in the air (& moved off the pitch) for the quicks had to be seen to be believed & this winter we've had all time record rainfall which means that a number of grounds have been under water for weeks on end so basically the curators haven't been able to get them fully prepared for the season.Expect low scoring games dominated by the pacemen especially those that swing the ball regularly.

Good to hear about the pitches Dipper, our pace attack is probably our main strength so fast/swing bowler friendly pitches will suit us as much as they suit you. Can't wait for the Ashes series now, as my footy team is shite.
