Assistant coaching changes (Caracella departure confirmed)

I don't and I am sure that no-one else pretends to know that. But whatever it is , if it is anything at all, it doesn't work. Five games this year we were asleep in the first 1/4. And we lost them all, including the crucial Prelim final.
Beveridge knew how to stop the Sydney fast first 1/4 , he planned and got the players fired up. We obviously did neither, we did not start playing in all of those games until well into the 2nd quarter.
A problem

Would absolutely love to see Joel Corey back at the club, but I don't reckon that'll happen on Scotty's watch. He's done an amazing job at the Bulldogs.

He would be a massive get and i think the recruit of the summer if it happened, no matter who is traded/drafted in player-wise. You just have to listen to the likes of Bontempelli to see what effect he has had on that midfield group.

I'm still not sure why there is so much distaste towards Shane O'Bree. I thought he did well as VFL coach this year.
Is there any evidence or insight from any source to suggest that O'Bree is a problem in the coaching ranks? (Not having a go, just legitimately curious).

I just don't like him from a development point of view which IMO is our weakness with our coaches.
McCartney is the best youth developer we've had at the Cats and I would love him back.

But why don't you like him? What is the reason? Is he a poor communicator? Have you listened to him talk to players personally?

As far as development goes, I think the club has done quite well considering our constantly poor drafting position.

I'm not sure who the main development coach was in 2016.

Perhaps but in the one that counted-The Prelim- despite everything that we and the world knew about Sydney being fast starters and, despite them having done that when we played them during the season, we were not ready. So unready that the game was gone by 1/4 time.

Poor, poor effort, poor, poor preparation. And that is back to Coaches.
