I've heard that with large asteroids as much as 99% of it burns up as it enters the atmosphere, so it's only 1% of its original size while smaller ones burn up competely, so that's a small relief!

I agree. Since my Mum and Dad died, I've been hoping for something like this to happen.

I have no money and no point to live. I am so hard off for cash that last year I only went oversears once - to Miami. And I had to buy my little sister a crappy used Piano, instead of a brand new one.

It's inevitable I agree but if we only get a small one which destroys only a few hundred square kilometres can I pick the area it hits.

For me I'd love to see it hit one of the following:
Los Angeles, Washington D.C., New York, Canberra, Jerusalem.

The last one is particularly appealling as it would solve the problems between the Arabs and Jews if Jerusalem was destroyed.

The reason it wasn't detected is because there is no organization that actually looks for things of that size. Too small.

It was below the size of something that could cause irrecovable damage to the earth, would still make a fair dent though.

Incidentally Australia has a better chance of being hit by something we don't see in summer, when we spend more time facing the blind spot that is the sun. during winter we are relatively safe, with better vision, so be assured

That is if someone was actually looking.
