I mean seriously what a bloody joke, they put up on their website that things are 'slow'. I started betting at 10am this morning and its still the same kelloggs box connection at 7pm . Its not good enough.

i am the same it was shocking betting on the website all day today. it was slow last week too but not as bad as it was today.

i can understand with the new website and all but for f/sake its spring time with major races so get it right.

I don't know why anyone bothers with the TAB anymore.

There are so many better options out there, options that allow for more convienience, better value and websites with far better usability (and reliability).

I've not set foot inside a TAB or used the Victorian TAB website in two years, and i don't miss either in the slightest.

BTW I do however use the UNiTAB site to check results.
It's a nice, clean, quick loading site, so it's a great resource.

Disgraceful - copped the same last week but not as bad as today. Mind you, after the 25 minutes it took to put my 3 leg multi on, it was pretty quick when it came to the 'submit bet' button.

With North losing I did the normal thing and backed up with my Saturday night punt, but after waiting for 10 minutes only to get the 'server busy' message I ended up driving back down the TAB to put it on.

Every punter is on the site placing bets and the site cant handle it. The promotion goes for a week so its gonna be laggy all week until they fix it

With any new system/database in any field you test and test and test until you are sure you have covered all your bases and have back up plans in case anything goes pear shaped - in Tabcorp's case putting the old system in place when it was clear that there was something wrong with the new one.

Whoever is running their testing and system development should be sacked with what has been served up so far (I only take quaddies with them these days).

By the way has there ever been a more hopeless racing/wagering executive than Robert Nason ?

Ran a fruitless and costly campaign against Betfair whilst in charge of Racing Victoria amongst other c**k ups and then quit to take up a post at Tabcorp (Director of Racing and Media). Since being there the public profile and reputation of Tabcorp has taken a nosedive.

What annoys me even more is that all week I have been hearing from Tabcorp lackeys like Keith Hillier about how wonderful the site is. Obviously he is being spoon fed this information from clowns like Nason.

Sack this idiot and get him out of the racing industry as soon as possible. The guy couldn't run a corner shop milkbar and its time people saw through his spin.

I tried to get on the Hussler/Maldivan Quinn. it took 10 minutes of waiting before I had enough, lucky I've got foxtel IQ and you can bet on sky channel now. I called up Tabcorp to find out what was wrong, they told me it must be your slow connection.
Now I'm with Internode, running ADSL, a macbook pro. At the time I was using it under bootcamp and Vista (easier to use macros in excel). When I told them the issues I was having they said it could be your firewall, anti-virus or some other software. when I then told them that I've tried on my macbook pro under OSX they said "our site is not built for that" again i told them even under Vista I as having the same issue they said some other rubbish line.

I then said "I've been reading on a lot of forums about how slow the new site is" where the woman said thats the first time we've heard about that,

They have to be joking, the spring is coming up, some days there could be over million hits. It needs to be fixed within the next 48 hours or their share price 9the only thing they care about) will drop.

It's been lagging ever since they changed the sportsbet side of the website, approximately 6 weeks age.

The whole thing is a disgrace and l can't believe they are doing nothing about it.

The speil from the TAB is that new website is improved and has many exciting and innovatiove features that will be prove advantageous to the punter.

I don't know about anyone else but I haven't noticed any great improvements on the site that will make my punting any easier or better. From my POV, the introduction of the new format has definitely not been worth all the hassle and dare say the cost.

Sites like Betfair have thousands of bets being placed every minute. The TAB should spend some of the money they rob off punters who are stupid enough to use them and upgrade their servers to handle more bets.

In today's internet age there are many more options for punters online than just the TAB, I think people have been conditioned to think they are the only firm you can bet with when in reality they are one of the worst in terms of odds and service.
