That's weird that his name changed

Circati's name has not changed.

And he most certainly went on to represent Australia after representing Italy at youf level - despite your assertion that once a player represents Italy they won't be choosing Australia for senior football.

Another Adelaide boy!!

You have to admire the production line there.

Hopefully can evolve in the Championship.

With a bit of luck we could have McGree, Silvera, Segecic, Irankunda & Toure all playing regularly in the championship and scoring.

Out of that lot I can see Irankunda & Segecic being chased by PL clubs right now.

Obviously missed my point which isn't surprising, circati and arena aren't the same guy
Circati went to Italy as an 18 year old and played for Australia a year later.

Arena is 16, he's gonna be in Italy for years before he gets near an Australian side representing Italy

Still, he played for an Italy youf team and decided to represent Australia afterwards. Materially there is little difference between the two. Infact, Italy called up him up again at the same time to Italy U20 but he rejected them outright in favor of the Socceroos.

It certainly was not a given in this case and I would say Circati would have been closer to Azzuri representation than Volpato for example. Obviously Arena is miles off playing senior football for either nation so is a long way from having to make a choice.

I don’t think we have a Kewell or Viduka on our hands, but there might be a Timmy Cahill or a few Emerson/Bresciano types coming through.

I am old enough to remember watching the early 90’s and it feels very similar at the moment with plenty of players bubbling away at respectable sides.

Certainly the best the talent pool has looked in 20 odd years from a developing stand point.

I suspect our side will look very different from a reputational stand point at the next World Cup in 4 years.

I think 4-5 of them will find themselves as regular starters in the top 4 leagues

Toure scored again overnight, great signs.

The big worry is Lewis Miller went off with a suspected Achilles overnight. Played nearly every game this year for Blackburn and looked our likely RB at the World Cup, not sure who replaces him if out.

Italiano would be the deputy but I think he's out injured too. Even Strain who has 4 caps is also injured. Silvera can play RWB and was getting games at Boro but seems to be out again. Be interesting who gets picked in the next squad.

Feel like people have said this every year since the 2000s and none of the players ever amount to anything relative to the golden generation

Out of curiosity who are the players?

I don’t think anybody has said this. Who are the examples of young players bubbling away at decent levels at a young age other than the likes of Mooy or Rogic?

Mooy was hardly young either, he failed in Scotland and rebuilt in Aus.

You're shitting me right lol
Kaz Patafta, Mustafa Amini, Tommy Oar, James Troisi, Neil Kilkenny, Garang Koul, Nick Carle
That's off the dome, there's dozens more

Toure & Irankunda look on that trajectory. Toure especially, what a start, dominating Championship football. If it continues Norwich will flip him at a huge profit in the summer window.

It has helped immensely that A-League clubs are forced to play young talent now. Look at the current Jets team - I would like to see them stick around for another season on long contracts then for the Jets to make a fortune selling them to European teams.

Circati obviously is also a top, top player.

Been a while since we have had consistent high performers in the championship. McGree looks PL bound.

Jordy Bos also looking like he can take the next step up. Can't see him staying at Feyenoord for too long, next destination Bundesliga or PL.

Looks like Kasey hasn't done much yet at Mainz, always felt that move was too soon after spending just one season in our senior team as starting LB.

Yeah, there’s been some individuals that have been overhyped. But we haven’t had a group of good youngsters come through in a bunch for a long time.

Yep, easily the best for quite some time. And the Newcastle Jets kids haven't even got started yet. Yes, not all of them will make it in Europe but some of them will.

Mo Toure on the way to the PL in summer at this rate.

Im personally a fan of McGree.. but if they get promoted, will Riley get a chance at the Premier League? Iv got a strange feeling he will be played on the bench with minimal games

Kasey can't even get named otherwise bench

Will be back on loan soon enough. That is an example of moving before properly established. Another season killing it at LB, he would then be ready for Europe.

I hope he doesn't get a l9an back to Australia...
Be happy even if it was a 2nd division on Germany or Scotland or Norway
