I am pissed off about the scheduling for tomorrow so I hope Tsitsipas wins against Kyrgios’ good friend.
I completely understand. I have JCA ticket for tomorrow so got lucky. But kyrgios vs thiem should have been the night match on RLA.

The thing is, Thiem has played plenty of times on JCA, I think I've seen him personally play on the court 4 or 5 times over the years.

Kyrgios needs to get used to playing well in the big matches on RLA. That's where the big matches are played.

Man how can you not want this guy to win -- been to hell and back!
I've learnt that the tennis forum on here just want all the Aussies to lose quickly. Djoker fanbois then get upset when he doesn't get respect. The hypocrisy is high here.

Who cares for good stories or good matches hey...

I always remember why I always leave this board. Should learn my lesson.

I wanted Kokk to win and when Rafa plays an Aussie I always support them both. Rafa is my favourite overall but feels strange to go for one or the other so most the time I just watch or support both depending what mood I’m in.

I guess those who follow tennis throughout the year, of which there are a few in this forum, have favourites. Following tennis is like any other sport, you have favourites who you want to do well.

So when we come to the aus open, lots of additional posters join in the discussion (which is great) and they are usually more of the casual fans who want to see Aussies do well. That's completely fair. I like to see Aussies doing well as well, I want Barty to win the tournament. But when a player comes up against a favourite of mine, like today, I want the player I support to win comfortably. Just like watching your footy team, you want them to have a good win.

So I want tsitsipas to win the tournament. If you follow the slams close enough, you realise that every extra set you have to play in the early rounds, costs you at the end of the tournament. This match today, over 4 hours in heat and high humidity, will basically kill tsitsipas chances of winning the title. Fitness plays a huge part in the semi and final.

I'd say there are only a couple of posters who want the Australian players to lose at every opportunity. You can always put them on ignore.

Tsitipas doesn’t have the game to win, sorry. Pretty easy for a Nadal or Djoker to win

Agree with this post except Theim in my case and not Tsitsipas. 😂
