COY is a hard one to pick every year. How much is team, how much is coach?

I would say mostly coach in Orlando's case since they had practically no personnel change.

I'm not saying he hasn't done a great job, but it's going to be hard to beat a coach of a team that went from a team slightly better than 500 to the best team in the league, another coach who led a team from outside the playoffs to the 2nd best record in the much harder West, and a team that overachieved as much as the Clippers did this year.

He's definitely in the next tier though. Orlando have done really well.

I think any chance Harden had of the MVP disappeared in the final week of the season.

Those fence sitters probably pick Harden if Houston end up with the 2nd seed, but now would be voting for GA.

They went 18-6 in the final stretch of games he played post-all star while he averaged 27/5/5 on significantly better efficiency than he started with.

I.e. he was Bradley Beal but on an actually competetive team, and lots of others have Beal.

I'm questioning why Beal is 2nd team for me now.
