how can airport west be so poor this year.
when last year they were so strong??

contenders - surely westmeadows. but they have always been contenders. keilor park are looking good. east keilor seem to have a huge improvement.

pretenders - the rest.

except the fact that teamslike sharks and co. are just there to fill places.

any big names for b section this season?

they had some good wins.
they can challenge a few upsets this year.

i still think the cougars will be most dominant. and be the upset for the season.

Who are the contenders and pretenders.

I think teams like Westmeadows, Taylors Lakes, Hadfield, Northern Saints etc are doomed to stay in B grade.

Well considering Northern are a Newish Club that had no choice but to start up in EDFL B grade or NFL division 2 how are they doomed to stay there. No comp would allow a new Club to start in the top division.

You have decided this after 1 game . . . .

so why did EK lose to hafield??
after round one it seemed that the cougars would actually contend for finals this year. or, are the Hadfield boys a top side?

it seems the new mergers, the saints, will finally string results together and will be forgotten as a walkover.

Keilor Park without Mercuri and winning. what will they be like with him. i think they are destined to go back to A grade. i guess airport west shouldve held on to last year. well done KP!

anyone with some a view on Glenroy???

will Tulla be the team to beat??

Keilor Park had no mercuri, misiti, gervasi, maitland or m.wilson from the week before against Airport West but they played a very moderate team in Jacana on Saturday. Westy will be a big test for them this week!!

Glenroy going along nicely and Tulla look very strong with a 100 point thrashing of Pacco. Wonder if Gamble might be regreting not going back to his old club in Keilor Park?? I would be.... Not often u get the opportunity to play alongside former genuine super stars of the AFL!

yer he just gets coached by a former afl player who was pretty handy..gambles done well hes now captain of pacco and loves the club, pacco will be right exact same thing happened last year against marby, lost by 100 points in round 2. it kicked em into gear and made prelim...still some handy players to come back in, keilor park have had a good start to the year which is great for em

From some reports Taylors Lakes wasted big money on Pat Wiggins.
His reputation from Sth Aust was he blamed everyone else for poor delivery (as richo used to do for Richmond)
Wonder how much they payed for him?

Tulla good young side last year, see if they stay same this year.

Northern saints, who are they a merger of?

Glenroy look like the clear favourites they hav got some very good pick ups in kent and o neill and with orgston fit it will be the team 2 beat!

Keilor park vs West this week should be a good game keilor park yet 2 bet any real conterders so if there goin 2 b up there must win

taylors lakes is also a conterder i belive as are tulla!
But my smokey 2 mak the finals is the Nothern Saints they will surpise this year

Jacana Is Doing Terrible. As a club
Thats just my opinion.
If i was Jacana, clean up the club, everyone i know, knows Jacana as "Scummers" and stuff like that. If there seniors are going to get any better for the future, something has to be done.

People with uneducated opinions should keep them to themselves

Bump>>>>>>>>>>>>

How about using this thread to talk B Grade instead of the main thread, at least it would make it easier to keep track of whats going on in B Grade!

Northern Saints 3.5-23 lost to Tullamarine 26.14-170.

How do the Northerners recover from that?

I'd say getting their ruckman (BOG round 1) back from injury will help, as will the return of Captain Nunziato and midfielders Comer and Brennan. Lets not forget plenty of players left in the off-season and it will take time for blokes to gel together. Also full credit to Tulla, who are an experienced side. Hard work and patience are the the keys for the Saints at the moment. Great to see Col Ribbons back training during the week too.

Good to hear, although I trust the Big Fella upstairs being a Pies supporter I just don't have faith in prayer when it comes to Footy.

Good chance to bounce back this week Tess.

While the Saints are struggling, Sydenham will be lucky if they win a game this year.

Good to hear Moonee Valley notched up a win have they played Sydenham yet?

How are things going down Keilor Park, I hear they recruited well and will play finals.

How are the other teams performing and players to look out for? Is it true Oak Park will be unbeatable, saw the score in the herald sun on the weekend and thought it was a mistake, wasn't Airport west the team to beat this year, I saw a whole heap of names on the transfer list, obviously it must of been for their junior teams. Can anyone shed any light on this competition this year?
Cage.....
