I'd expect Essendon to have somewhat of a clean out, which would mean getting Dean Polo is out of the equation as he's spent 6 or 7 years on our list with minimal improvement.
Also they already have enough of the same players that fall into the category of lightening quick yet unskilled, of which Matt White falls into that category. Which to me makes makes me think this trade wouldn't happen either.
I doubt the club will trade away draft picks, unless we got a downgraded one in return, in which case what will the Tigers give away?
Nahas is surely on the table, and maybe even Tursfield? Considering everyone seems to feel that Thursty carries no trade value, and we have the Goo coming through to play full back, this could be ideal. However IMO i believe Thursfield is a better pure-fullback than Gourdis and I wouldn't trade him.

Not impressed with bacher.
A polo /bacher trade would be one of those trades that might give both players a second chance and assuming bacher would be on less than polo might be slightly advantageous to us.
But not White - there is more upside to white and straight houli/ white swap would be a loss for us IMO.

Don't forget that Polo has a ripper against the Bummers in his first game! These kind of things stick in the minds of recruiters. And if you don't believe me, think of Wayne Thornborrow!

I'd value him between pick 25-35.Bachar is out of contract so you guys hold the power in negotiations.

I think thats reasonable. We get an upgrade on our third pick as compensation whilst you guys get a player and still keep a draft pick.

He is a great kick, his game against the saints this year was a stand out.
24 touches, 2 goals, 96% Effeciency.. Almost best on..!
Just lacks the confidence as Essendon only gave him 5 games and in those games averaged 20 touches.
Underated player and would be a handy addition.

I understand your concerns tugg. But at the end of the day he is a left footer with quality kicking skills and a few smarts about him too. Taking into account his age and most certainly the arrival of the bummers into spudsville, in terms of having NFI on who constitutes a player and who doesnt, i.e. turn over kings Wunderworld etc...I would be ok with us giving him a chance to show us what he can do in terms of adding some polish forward of the centre.
At the end of the day the known facts are that, this year he didnt get much of a run and the team "forged into the 8" with those that the bummers brains trust thought were ahead of him.
i.e. he wasnt instrumental in their rapid rise to the bottom.

Just curious as Essendon dont have a coach and seem to be in no hurry to acquire one, who would be leading the trade options at the Bombers right now?

Well, why would Essendon want Polo, Tambling or White? Have a look at what biggriff said, he's talking some sense.
You can't just suggest players without thinking if they would be of any value to the other teams list. And i quote: "don't you think!"
How do we no that he wants to leave. You can't take everything you read on BigFooty as Gospel. FFS i've read that Bachar is going to Freo, Western Bulldogs, Collingwood.
I'd be very surprised if Bachar is delisted. He got a few games early, and it was clear he hadn't improved his hardness or defensive mindset so he was sent to the VFL. He worked on those deficencies and got a recall. And FWIW, he wasn't dropped after the carlton game, he had a knee injury.

how do we know that richmond are even intrested in a player that cant even get a game in the team that finished 14th with the worst midfield in the league !
at the moment houli & polo,thomson,hislop,mcmahon are all in the same position all will be very lucky to get a gig next year
personally i wouldnt trade for him, psd or rookie list if possible
pick upgrade of 20 spots in a draft where the first 40 odd players are quality from respected watchers would be madness & i cant see it happening
