How much better did we look with Reid and Nathan Brown down the spine? Frost played as a third tall and while he made some errors certainly did his part.

Sinclair, Ramsey and Oxley were all solid. Williams made a forgettable error but put his head over it and competed.

Langdon had a tough night but he went down forward and kicked a goal.

Overall there was a lot of ball coming into the backline and they stood up. Well done boys. Apart from Reid and Brown, the rest are young and will only get better.

Best of all, no one gave up and there was plenty of heart shown tonight. Go pies!

I think for the most part our midfield provided better defence, our defence provided better offense, but our defenders defending were poor.

Who was on Riewoldt? Was playing well on him up until the last quarter...

I said that a fit Ben Reid would be our best recruit. How good is that guy, where did he come from?
I thought that Sinclair, Ramsay, Williams were all good. Reid fantastic. Brown solid. Frost pretty ordinary, was livid with the ****ing fumbling and being caught in two minds that I thought conceded the sealer which was Richmond's last goal.

What is with Frost, fumbling and being caught in two minds, can you stop ****ing doing that.

Hardwick's presser now, popcorn.

Cant overstate how important Reid is to the CFC.

Wish we had 3 of him, one for CHB, one for CHF and one for spare parts :)

Great to see the big man back. Intercept marking, precise foot skills, excellent decision making, solid one on one.

I'm going to be honest and say that i thought our backline was garbage. Fumbling, poor execution and so many errors.
Thankfully the Tigers forwards couldn't kick straight and made many errors of their own.

If our backs play like that against a half decent team, then we get a repeat of the Swans game and lose by 10 goals

I know it's a toast thread, but I must have been watching a different match because the backline performance I saw was riddled with errors, slack work in transition and terrible zoning errors. It was Richmond's poor kicking before half time that saved us.

For instance think of that spoiling attempt by Frost that allowed Reiwoldt through for his third he legitimately cannot spoil with his left hand!

Overall ratings for me would be Reid sublime, Ramsay encouraging, Brown and Sinclair passes. That's the end of it for me.

Reid was good, Ramsay tried hard as did Marley (but kicking out from full back?)
We still have NO general down there.

I wouldn't call that holding up

sorry mate I think you're lost. You're looking for the roast thread...
Lucky Tigers did not Kick Straight.

They should of won the Game in 2nd Qtr

Well they didn't kick straight. That's football. It's a game of momentum and chances.

Ramsey was very good tonight, his disposal was good to very good, provided good run and covered his man well. I think a couple of players made us look a lot worse back there eg. Frost, Langdon. Sounds like Langdon is going to get dropped by the sounds of Buckley's press conference.

Frost is a liability and needs to be dropped
Marley is a gun but shouldn't be kicking in and he should be developed as a hard nut mid imo
Langdon was terrible again and had to be moved forward. He should be dropped.
Ramsay stood up tonight
Brown was dependable as ever
Sinclair was very good.
The complete failure of our kick in tactics these first two games represents an embarrassment of our coaching staff.

Of course Richmond kept us in it with their bad kicking, but the argument could also be that we kept them in it with our bad skills. We won because we worked harder and took our chances. Frost actually held his man until the 3rd but he wasn't helped with the the amount the ball rebounded back into the 50.

Exactly...

From our backline...

Which is exactly why they don't deserve a toast thread.

Kudos to your backline. First time I've seen em live. Seemed to have a wall across the midfield which made it hard for us to exit. Reid didn't miss a target by foot. Whole team hang in for 100 min.s
