I know how you are feeling courtesy of 2005, and I know how much it hurts.

You will be back next year, hope you can win it then, because West Coast will be back after that!

Commiserations ,you were the best team all season ,but sadly there is no room for sentiment on the last game of the year.On a bright note you really have arrived as a powerhouse AFL side.

Believe me, no-one understands what you're feeling like Geelong fans, it hurts bad but seeing how good you guys we're this year I dread facing your team next year with the added vengeance. You have a great team and you'll bounce back.

Both my parents barrack for the cats, and are annoyingly happy. Unfortunately I live in Geelong and now have to put up with 6 months of smug 'supporters' who turned up at the end of 2007.

Bad luck Saints, you were easily the better team in the first half but unfortunately you couldn't capitalise on it . I know the pain you are in right now but at least you guys will definitely bounce back next year. The future is bright at St Kilda!

who are SAINT KILDA? it is St. Kilda Saints. The saints weren't robbed at all, there were dicey decisions, but that happens in most if not all games, it was just that saints were not able to maintain the same defensive pressure for the entire 4 qtrs, thats what cost them. don't blame umpires, that is a soft way of losing to blame them...

Bad luck to you guys, but Geelong are a great team and today when the going got tough they rose like a good team should. But I have no doubt your dry spell is almost broken and next year it will be your year, a great season by your guys don't be too disappointed.

You should be proud of being part of an epic, classic grand final. The St Kilda team of 2009 will always be the best in my mind. I reckon even fair Geelong supporters would agree. If it was the EPL you won in a canter. Dust yourself off and get ready for 2010.

Yeah, I was hoping you guys were going to get over the line today too... and you dominated in most departments from what I could see. Just that finishing in front of goal hurt in the final analysis.

But for those set shots, I reckon you'd have had this game just about locked up by half-time!

Bad luck Saints... you definitely deserved to win today IMO.

Commiserations Sainters. Was watching it with a bunch of mates quite a number of whom were Saint supporters and to see their faces at the end of it sort of left a hollow feeling in me and I hope that I'll never have to go through.

Most of you'd be rueing those missed chances, might even have some bloody fingers because of it .. but seriously your boys gave it their all. You can be proud of the season as a whole. It's been said for years now that St Kilda are a team of Champions and not a Champion team. But this year names like Riewoldt, Hayes, Dal Santo would mean nothing if it weren't for the players who just took their games to another level playing for the jumper.
You'll be back. Champion teams never stray for too long from glory.

Bad luck guys, was a cracking game, a pity one team had to lose at the end of it. As Cats fans, we know the pain of 40+ yr waits, and dominating a H&A season but not getting the result on GF day. It sucks, it hurts, but I hope you guys can come back hard next year, and looking forward to some more cracking encounters between us, like WC and Sydney of a few years ago.

Bad luck fellas if u werent playing the Catters today i would have been supporting u guys all the way as it woulda been great for the old guys like Baldock and Barkers dad to see a premiership.
