Cruise will be standing on a crate with high heels on. He's 5'7". Cavill's 6'1".
Referring to bulk not height, but yeah.

Pretty easy to slim down as he'd usually bulk up for roles.Referring to bulk not height, but yeah.

Most of the previous Bond castings were relative unknowns, at least as far as the movies were concerned. All the Hollywood fan casts are just uninspiring. Cavill, Elba, Hiddleston, Hardy.
I like Aaron Pierre otherwise they should do a casting call and hire an unknown

Historically, Bond actors have all been relative unknowns. At best, some have played TV roles similar to Bond.
- Sean Connery was best known for being a former Mr Universe winner, before being cast as Bond in Dr No.
- George Lazenby was a male model from Queanbeyan (not Mudgee), who had never previously acted.
- Roger Moore was cast as a result of his role as The Saint, on TV.
- Timothy Dalton had been around for ages, mostly playing minor roles, and was best known as a stage actor.
- Pierce Brosnan was cast as a result of his role in Remington Steele, again on TV.
- Daniel Craig had appeared in a heap of movies, but was barely on anyone's radar as a likely Bond, until his name was announced by Wilson & Broccoli.
Wilson & Broccoli never cast an established A-grade actor in the role, which would rule out the likes of Cavill, Elba, Hiddleston & Hardy. However, with Amazon taking creative control, history is no longer any guide.
Not any more, they don't - they sold their rights to creative control to Amazon. This means that Amazon now has the final say in everything about Bond - including casting, scripts, directors, etc.I would assume that Wilson and Broccoli have final say on who is the next Bond actor cast

I reckon Cavill will get it as Amazon will want to ensure they have a strong franchise. Most of the previous Bond castings were relative unknowns, at least as far as the movies were concerned.

If they've sold the rights i can't see how they'd have much input at all unless it was part of the deal.. which would be odd.I reckon Cavill will get it as Amazon will want to ensure they have a strong franchise.
Also, Moore, Dalton & Brosnan were all serious contenders the previous time the actor changed before they eventually got the role. Broccoli & Wilson don't have full control but do have some input, and Cavill made their shortlist last time around.
I thought they gave up majority control of creative, not all interest. If they've sold the rights i can't see how they'd have much input at all unless it was part of the deal.. which would be odd.
Starting from scratch, with crap like TV series based around Moneypenney, Felix Leiter, and a female 007.Off the top of my head Amazon has never done a major theatrical "Let's try to get a billion dollars at the box office" release movie before. Lots of potential for things to go wrong. Reads like they'll be starting from scratch with none of the old Bond people around.
Or maybe they Retcon NDTD and the next film is a spiritual successor to Spectre. They essentially did in No Time to Die.
I'm getting the Departed Vibes off that alone.imagine they reboot.... with a cat-and-mouse dual storyline that is very sparse on details and keeps you guessing who actually is Bond until the final scene, maybe with some undercover ruse to keep you guessing. ..
More bad news.![]()
