My thoughts on the cricket side have no relevance to my thoughts on our country.

When it comes to Brazil in June I will be all over the socceroos.

This is purely an Aussie cricket team thing.

you deride our underdog test cricket team that just belted the poms and you like soccer...

you're not australian at all, are you?

Wow, what a pathetic thread to make. What have the Aussies done since winning the series that could possibly be considered 'sore winning'? Clarke stuck up for Cook, they all had a beer and the Aussies celebrated like a team that had just won a whitewash. They didn't demean their opponents in any way, but were rightfully proud of their achievements.

If you were offended by the no-bullshit approach shown on the field, run back to your mum and watch some tiddlywinks.

Didn't have a problem with the Aussies just like I didn't have a problem with the English when they were winning. For example I cracked up when Warnie did his wicket dance and I cracked up when the Poms did their sprinkler dance.

It's the nature of the sportsmanship of Cricket, has been for many decades, the Windies, the Aussies, the South Africans, the English, the Sri Lankans and Indians etc. love to sledge, love to go nuts and do stupid stuff when they win etc. A bit of perspective doesn't go astray. It's probably not the right sport to follow if you think this stuff is bad.

To be fair, England had just regained the Ashes after 16 years of Australian dominance.

Cut them some slack.

and to be fair this current Aussie team has copped enough crap from everyone the last few years as well.

I think the lack of fight suggests a fractured dressing room. Like what Australia was in India. Lehmann to his credit changed that.
It's amazing how well players respond to have an open forum about what went wrong rather than writting twenty pages of homework.

We used to see more arrogance and poor sportsmanship from the Steve Waugh side than we did from this one.

Can't believe people like the OP are back already. We aren't even that good yet. These types were around during the glory years of the 90s and 2000s, constantly complaining that our merciless domination was reflecting poorly on our country.

much like the windies before us, our long-term domination of world cricket raised the overall standard of the game.
