Could Luke Ball's cramp come hamstring problem be a ruse or a red herring in Grand Final Week?

Why didn't he have ice on it?

Something just doesn't seem right here?

This is my take.

Ball cramps in the hammy that he did 2 years ago. He shits bricks, paranoid he's done his hammy.

Takes himself off, speaks to the docs down in the rooms, saying he thinks he's done his hammy. Docs say "You sure it's not cramp? You're not showing signs of a hammy".

After doing all the checks, tests etc. Ball calms down, docs confirm bad cramp, don't bring him back on because there's no need to risk it.

Media gets a whiff of it, and runs with hammy because the media love negativity and the theatre of it.

Ball will play.

No ruse. MM will not play any games in GF week.

He had cramp simple as that. When you cramp in your hammy your leg locks, which is exactly what happens. Due to his bad groins Ball cannot do a lot of running work so his legs fatigue at the best of times. Throw in a week off and cramp seems logical.

Chapman beat St Kilda on one hammy last year.

Ball in his role would try to do the same.

This guy has huge mental toughness, and is so hard at it.

Not a doubt in my mind he will play this week, injured or not. And he will get 10 tackles in the first half.

C'mon Luke, this is the reason we got you to Vic Park, so you'd play more than 50% of a Grand Final. So you'd be appreciated more than Andrew McQualter and Grange Hermitage. We love you honestly Luke, and want to see you with a premiership cup, medallion, and a celebration to die for.
