Its also a great way to end up overpaying players
Absolutely - but IMO part of our recent defensive and OL problems have been letting our stars walk because we won't pay top dollar for them.

It means they want to make cash selling a new batch of jerseys to psychos who will buy every colourway?
Maybe that's just one of the perks. I think the Ravens made the least changes to their kit out of all the teams in the NFL.

I'm interested to see how drastic the changes are. The main things i'd be happy with would be a change in the number font to something different to the current gothic themed one.

Was just making fun of the ‘what this means’ commentary.

It’s a shame because I love a lot of the older Raven Black kits.

Yuck for Saleh. Too many red flags from his time with the Jets for mine.
I mean... they were the Jets... but still ranked top 5 defensively during his time. He can't be blamed for that cursed franchise.

We have been one of the worst defensive sides the last 3 seasons... so he brings in an upgrade at OC and we should vastly improve.

Hes a great defensive coordinator. Absolutely hopeless at managing the team/egos, the game and the press when things go bad. Clueless when it comes to offense. Far easier to find a good DC than it is a good OC that will hang around coz they get the HC'ing jobs.

This is where I'm at too.

When you've put all your eggs in a QB's basket like we have with Lamar, go offensive as HC. If you hire a defensive HC, then you keep cycling through OCs every couple of years because they're either good enough to be a HC and get hired or they're not and you shouldn't be keeping them. Either way, new systems, new ideas, constant churn is not good for best results.

DCs are slower to be hired away and less likely to be top line HC options outside of a few specific locations (we would be one though, TBH).

Kubiak or McDaniels for me. If there was a way we could get Minter or Flores and McDaniels as OC that would be the preference for sure but I just can't see that happening

McDaniel as HC and Flores as DC would be a dream pairing imo (not that it would happen)
This is what I'd be over the moon on.

It's possible - Flores is a free agent as his DC contract expired so could do a lateral movement if there's no HC spot left.

I just don't know how the vibe between two successive Miami coaches would be.

The highest paid DC last year was Vic Fangio on about 4.5mil.

Just take the money we saved from Harbaugh getting a new gig and make Flores the new highest paid. Simples.

Harbaugh was on 17mil py according to insiders. McDaniels was on less than 5 in Miami.

I really hope we're at least floating the idea of an elite pairing like that.
