Why is Palmer not playing?
Why is he not playing midfield?
I have to say I'm finding all this very puzzling. I actually (for the first time) almost don't want to go to the game on Sunday. I think we will get pumped and I'm not sure I can watch.

Unfortunately I wont be going due to an Exam Monday morning
Im honestly not excited for this game.
Palmer deserves a go in the midfield. He will go back to Easts, have another 35 touches and 4 goals, then back into the team as the Sub to come on late in the game on a half forward flank.
Meanwhile Crichton will touch the ball once for a turnover, and will keep his place despite his obvious spudness.
And Lol at Hinkley.

Hinkley>Watson/Hurley
Ken lacing up the boots again?

Yeah, but is there any heat on those who are letting us down? Palmer wasn't responsible for the capitulation, yet he's forced out. No heat on Ibbotson/Johnson/etc. It's pathetic. The choice of who plays between Hinkley, Palmer and Mellington was hardly going to determine this weeks result.
It was all doom and gloom before last weeks game and we played 3Q of the best footy I've seen from us all season. We'll have effectively the same team this Sunday only we'll be at home against an inferior team.

Palmer's not having a great season, but he works harder than most other players in our team. I just saw the last quarter of our game on Foxtel again, and Ibbotson's two panicky fumble efforts when Hawks players got near him in the last gave the Hawks a sniff. They never looked back.
Harvey is turning us back into a team of squibs.
Sure it would've been nice for Mellington to debut, but again what difference would that change make?
Great call, an inspired choice by Harvey. The return of Hinkley is right up there with that of Barlow, so expect the team to get up.
Hinkley will be the best sub we have had all year, finally someone will come on and actually inject some life into the contest. Hopefully this is the start of a run longer than one match, it's been a while since Hinkley has been given that chance.
None in the short term.
But it's becoming apparent what qualities we rate. This toughness we were supposed to build in the club doesn't exist at all. Guys who put their head over the ball are dropped while panicky squibs are made part of the leadership group.
There's no strategy to these selections. Next week, Hinkley will be dropped pretty much in spite of what he does (unless it's top five for the team). Barlow will probably come back, but if that doesn't have the impact expected, then what?
