Thoughts on us perhaps taking him next year upon his retirement from the Swans? I know he is a head case ON the field, and Setanta in recent weeks has shown he can play at CHF, but if you place Hall at CHF right now, and we are could be starting to look like a real premiership threat.

Something to CONSIDER i reckon.

I suggested it last week and got hounded down ...

Frankly he's still in good enough nick to play footy next year, and I'd be ropeable if he goes on and has great success at Footscray (which is where I reckon he'll go) and helps them pinch a flag.
 
Simple, Fevola and Hall won't be in same forward line... we can't afford that
 
I suppose though the rise and rise of the MadIrishman probably would rule out any chance of Bazza coming to the club.

Can't wait for Waite to return next year, and if Walker hopefully can stay injury free next year as well, and played as Half-Foward Flanker, and as long as Fev doesn't go off his rocker too many times next year, we should still have a fairly potent foward line next year ...

Think the end is nigh for Cloke and Fisher though ..
 
Won't happen.

He'll probably only play for 1 more year, 2 at the max. We need to be looking at developing a team, not toppinig up.

I reckon definately something to consider. He is 32 years old and the way he is playing now has another 1-2 years left in him. His disposal is good and brings some more strength to the club

BTW I have to admit I was delighted when he knocked out Shane Wakelin ...

Anyone who goes around whacking any of the Wakelin sisters is an good bloke in my book (there is a great reason why Mark Bickley is so revered in Adelaide :D)
 
Fair enough to all those who say no.

I have a feeling that one or two clubs have already indicated (privately) they would be interested. He just needs to do a bit clever PR before he makes his next move. His resignation will be followed by a brief hiatus from which he will return claiming to have done "a lot of soul searching." A contrite Hall will then affirm his commitment to himself and the game. He will ask for a second chance - a chance at redemption. In a Cousins-like resurrection he will be picked up at the 11th hour with a last round draft pick. A jubilant Hall will raise a fist in triumph, the press gallery will duck for cover.

As will the coach of the team that picked him up...

That being said, I dont think that the blues would even start thinking about recruiting him after getting our fingers burnt with Pagan's boy Mickie 'mouse' Martin who was supposed to be a fill in for a couple of years to get Livo up to speed as full back.

Could be a disaster for our forward line.

Outs:
Hall - indefinite, bruised ribs, broken left hand and club imposed suspension.
Fevola - 12 weeks, broken jaw, multiple facial injuries and concussion.
