Question: Who has the worst taste in music and DVDs at the club?
Shannon from Coomera (QLD)

We caught Bart McCulloch the other day in the gym by himself and he was pumping the Miley Cyrus, singing along to Party in the USA while he was doing his weights. He knew all the words and everything. He would definitely have to be the one with the worst taste in music.

Re: Bart McCulloch

Just how much time can Bart spend on the injury list before his spot on the list is considered?

It's hard to see him staying on the list beyond this year.

Bart McCulloch
Bart’s recovery is all on track and going well. He will be looking to play in Round 7.

Re: Bart McCulloch

Brett Burton injury update

Bart is progressing well from his quad injury. If it was a first-time quad injury he would have been back this week, but given that he’s had a history of quad injuries, we take a bit of extra time to make sure that it doesn’t re-tear, so he’ll get a full week of training in and aim to play next weekend.

Ooh Aah Ash McGrath

Hey Ash, is there anyone in the group the boys tend to pick on. If yes.. who?
Tony from Wheelers Hill (VIC)

We pick on the ruckmen. Well not all of them, just Broc (McCauley) and Bart (McCulloch). We get into them a fair bit.

Hey Ash, Congratulations on the wins this season, I was wondering what type of car does Jonathan Brown drive?? Is it a nice one and who has the worst car at the club???
Caitlyn from Bell Park (VIC)

Big Jonathan Brown drives a pretty nice car. It’s a Toyota Prado I think. And in regards to the worst car, once again I have to pick on Bart McCulloch. On his first day at the Club he turned up in a gold BMW. I don’t know what was going on there.

The Challenge with Tom Rockliff

It's a pretty boring challenge. Obviously trying to plug a few sponsors in a 'The Price is Right' format.

Re: Bart McCulloch

what realistic chance does bart have of staying on the list in any capacity next year

will this increase if clark goes?

2011 End of Season Review

2010 review

Games: 0
Emergency: 0
Dreamteam: 0 points; $80,400
Supercoach: 0 points; $91,700
NEAFL:
Games: 12
Goals: 7

No. 25
Height 198cm
Weight 88kg
DOB 23-09-1990
Status Rookie
Games Yet to debut

After only playing 1 Reserves match in 2009 and a further 12 in 2010, due to persistent Osteititis Pubis, Quad and Hamstring injuries, Bart was de-listed and then re-selected as a Rookie for 2011. The writing was then on the wall for the “project” player, that he would need to demonstrate some developmental progress during 2011 to convince the club to include him going forward.

After another injury interrupted pre-season and late start to the 2011 NEAFL season, Bart was an ever present from Rnd 6, racking up 14 consecutive games, his most consecutive games in a season since being drafted in 2008 (ND Pick 69). He contributed 6 goals and was named in the best players on 2 occasions.

Unfortunately for Bart, The Football Department’s end of season review determined that he “did not have the level of improvement within him to be a regular AFL player” (as per the Kerr Trade Report), and he was again de-listed.

Bart has since signed with TFL side South Launceston for 2012, but still harbours some hope of continuing in the AFL. He was recently quoted as saying “at 21 obviously I still have a dream to play AFL football but it’s a slight chance at best, so I will play for the Bulldogs unless some miracle happens and I am snapped up in the draft”.

I for one hope he gets his wish, if only, at the least, to be able to say he had an “injury free” stab at an AFL career. And if not, he certainly has the abilities to excel in the TFL (providing he maintains fitness), and I look forward to keeping tabs on his career.

Bart's first game with the reserves down at Southport (and only game in 2009) was 40 minutes of, dare I say it, robustness that was never seen again in any subsequent outings. P'raps he's rediscovered it?

I thoroughly hope so.
