The thing is though, Ferguson has a clear weakness in his game. Hes never 'in'. Good/great players are hard as hell to get out once they get their eye in. Think about it, how often is Ponting out in his 20s or 30s? Once they get a start, they usually atleast cross the half century, and often more.

Ferg however never seems to be 'in' and safe. He seems to get a start, and then get out. Hes never dominating the game from the crease.

Agree, he's a very poor mans Mark Waugh.

the biggest problem with SA was in those two balls

got SA back in the game....then plays that kind of shot with 5 needed off 5 balls

I realise this is nit picking but **** me, he could have tapped it around been not out at the end and been the real hero

Callum Ferg looked great as well

fair enough, I guess the dismissal highlights the same problem as Borgas, already had 8 from the over from 2 great shots, getting a sinlgle of the remaining four balls would have suffice.

I hope that Sorrell is trying to get these guys mentally right this season.
