Well... not How many of the posters who have been handing back Carlton heads on platters in the Bay have actually posted here. Why would they post where Carltonites can hide behind the Carlton mods. That doesn't make much sense

We can't even claim the moral highground (which would not surprise many of the Carlton haters) as I believe many of the Carlton posters on the Bay would be getting down and dirty laying the boots in, if another club was in the gun.

I just hope that when we win our next flag we don't have some poor deluded Carlton poster drag up old threads on grandfinal day pointing out how everyone was wrong instead of going out and enjoying the win (just as a certain West Coast Eagle poster did when they won) That was one of the saddest things I have seen on a forum.

I will admit I am having a biy of giggle at this thread, but then again I find anything to do with the Bay a bit of a crackup

That probably makes me a bad person and a bad Carlton supporter, but I am what I am

I'm not sure the good fight and anything to do with Bay13 is applicable, but mud slinging is, which is what the Bay is afterall about

Nah, I know what it is and have no problem debating with the best on most topics. I just don't bother with complete fools, as they drag you to their level and then beat you with experience

People should quit complaining about the bay, it reflects badly on the BigFooty Carlton supporter group. Recognising it as beneath you is fine, recognising that most hunt in packs and hide behind each other is fine, recognising that you are not the flavour of the month/year and will therefore be judged on different criteria to others is fine, recognising that you will be lambasted for posts that others are complimented on is fine. That's just straight up honesty.

Call it as you see it, but just don't do the whole 'it's not fair' bit. I have pointed out consistency issues in response to claims it is all fair and square, but it is not a personal affront to me and nor is it intended to be.

This is true. The 5% object to being tarred with the same brush, just as we object to being held accountable for outlandish calls by other Carlton supporters. The problem is that those 5% largely stick with team allegiances rather than Bay allegiances. If their own kind are posting crap, only occasionally will they point that out. Mostly they will overlook it or back slap it because they have a common target.

The Bay 13 stalwarts and better exponents could probably alter the direction and quality of the Bay simply by rebuking the repetitive, unfunny stuff and leading by example more often.

Probably not an original suggestion but you would kill their empty, braindead version of fun stone dead if every Carlton poster just pulled out of there. People will take it as some sort of defeat but it's actually the opposite. Just do it, see what happens.

Anyway, I suppose my point is you're entitled to lay into Carlton as you like, there's no rule against it and it's a free for all. I would just like to be entertained and if that is the case, I'll even embrace it.
I just about always get a good laugh from threads/posts from the likes of Biffinator, Frankston Rover, GuzzLG (if you can't laugh at his Carlton threads you can always with his Hawthorn ones), Hodge2Franklin to name a few.
And sorry ODN but with one of your suggestions that the trolls might create if we banned ourselves, I couldn't help but laugh.
I've never contributed a large number of posts over there anyway (at least compared to others) but when I do I definitely don't tend to take myself too seriously, as you shouldn't, especially as a Carlton supporter.

It's a free world, as long as Carlton fans go into Bay 13 knowing what to do and not get sucked in, it shall be fine. Some of the stuff I have read from Carlton fans in there are cringe worthy, and easy for the experienced Bay 13 regulars to have a go at.

They have started an B13 hall of shame where you can vote for the biggest flogs on the bay, and about half the poll is full of Carlton fans (including yours truly which was to be expected)

I don't know why those two douchebags Stronzo or Hodgepodge or Hodge2Franklin aren't on the poll, mind you it was started by an North Melbourne fan, and they clearly have NFI ..

I think the North supporters are amongst the Bays best if not the best. They have it all over the Hawthorn blokes and it just kills them.
