Bay 13 - What's it about?

I hope this works. It's a good idea, and it would be nice to see some interesting and well thought out posts on the main board than the usual tripe.

Already I see no consistancy in what is being moved and what stays, I'm half expecting a joke I post on Bay 13 to show up on the main board.

You have to allow time for it to settle in and for mods and admins to sharpen their idea of what goes on which board.

We will be liberal here to an extent, but the BigFooty rules still apply.

If you want to use the BAY 13 name, can you please ask an original member of BAY 13.. That would be me. I can give you the rules and regs as well... Im sure a few of the boys in AXLE, Weasle, Anthrax, Ronnie Etc wouldnt be happy with you using the name!

Named after the notorious Bay 13 at the MCG, the Bay 13 board is for people to get a bit more expressive with their discussions.

If you just want to have a go at another team this is where to do it. If you want to discuss issues and points in a civilised manner, go to the Australian Football League board, just above this one in the main forum listing.

The rules still apply. Keep it relatively civil. No avoiding the swear filter. No naming players in relation to rumours of scandal and so on. I'll sticky the site rules just to remind everyone that we still have some standards, even in Bay 13.

Trolling on the AFL board is now forbidden. Troll threads will be removed and people posting to abuse others will be blocked from that board. No one has been blocked from the main board up front, giving everyone a chance to take part in both boards.

This doesn't mean controversial threads are banned from the main board, but tread carefully and present a good argument and you should be fine. Responding to reasonable discussion points with abuse is also a no-no on the main board.

(Have done an initial sweep of threads to move from the main board. Some I may have got wrong but nobody is perfect.)

The rules still apply. WHether they are enforced every single time is another thing. If you want to really push it (go beyond standard baseless rubbishing of other teams and players) you'll probably cop a suspension.
