Beams or Sidebottom?

Sooo... Who is the better long term prospect in your opinion?
I would have to go with Beams, but that is just an uneducated(lol?) guess...

He's not saying they both can't be Champions but I think he is just saying which one do you think will be better and I do agree he should have a Option for Both

Yeah, but none of us have seen Rusty at AFL level, so we really can't comment on him just yet. If he is able to do what Beams has done in his first 2 games, i will be a very pleases collingwood supporter, like many.

I put Sidebottom ahead just, mainly because of his cleaner skills by hand and foot.

Beams will be a beauty also, but Sidebottom may just be a bit cleaner skill wise.

Hopefully Beamer picks up 40 odd disposals, 12 marks, 8 tackles, 5 goals and 15 clearances on Friday so he can get a look in at the Rising star for next week.

Seriously I watched both games and he was better than Dangerfield and did it against quality opposition, not Rhys Palmer and the Freo Shockers.

I think both will be great future players.... but Beams for now just because he has come straight in...
Can't really judge Sidebottom properly until he plays a game... NAB means nothing... but still looked good...

Ask me again about end-2010. Loved what I've seen of Beams so far but Sidebottom has also shown a bit. Must admit I've big hopes for both of them. Could eventually prove to be better pick-ups than Pendles/Thomas - and that 4-combo could set our midfield up for the next 8-10 years.

Still, we have to wait and see.

Agreed! I'm not saying he'll be as good (although, one can hope) but there is a bit of Simon Black about the way Beams plays.
