I’ll ask you again after my initial tag. Do you have any insight to share about this game style and tactics people use as someone who won as a surviving flog last time?
I just got lucky that game, that's all. Can't rule out luck at any stage.

Finding the dead PM and your evil PM would be a start (I wasn’t part of it so I didn’t play) please

For those of us who didn’t play , I’ve been working off this

Will have a look! Shocked I lasted that long as Alpha :O haha.

I'll try and refresh my memory.

LOL laughing at the last game... Chipmunk said he was a Lost Wanderer and didn't want to be recruited and said that he would reveal if evil recruited him etc etc and then nek minut Mafia kills him hahaha. Poor Chip...

This feels like a confession. Some people find it harder to lie than others. This is the second game I have played with you, ever, so I won’t rush to vote for you but you’ll be my fallback if nothing more concrete comes up.

That's pretty funny.

Luck is involved in every game. But this game also has strategy and different mechanics.

My main question to you is- how did the flog recruiting mechanism work (ie did successful recruits get added to your large PM as the OP implies ie your flog pm was treated like a faction?), and if so, who did you try and recruit? Nobody flipped town/flog lone wanderer so I’m curious
Village
Each night can conduct an "astral" recruit action (ie occurs outside normal game mechanics - cannot be blocked, seered, swapped, etc) that is only successful when targeting a Drifting Soul. Recruits will be added to the factions' PM.

MWPP if we are ever going to be an effective team in the future then you need to trust me
Geez my werewolf life would’ve been so much easier if I just posted this once I reckon

The other thing I'm wondering with Village recruits, if all the flogs die, do their recruits get moved to the PM of the next village role in the order?

If flogs successfully recruited last night their recruit is probably the best person to be their spokesperson for them when they are ready.

I’ve come around on your post earlier MWPP , but not for the same reason.

With fewer in the factions to start with we need to hit early and often to keep growth of evil numbers generally at bay.
And yes, this is true too. It’s why I wanted to get all info (from the past and this game) out there . Zerg’s point about hoping for the best is all well and good but we have to work together.

Last game the flogs failed to manage a single recruit. Evil got them all and still lost. It was hilarious.

Would assume recruits stay in their recruited group and don't move for village.

No, we had such horrible luck trying to recruit Villiagers to the Flogs, for want of a better word, faction, that we were unable to see how that mechanic would develop. IIRC, we went 0/3 in our attempts, so we thought, "why bother" and kinda abandoned it because at that stage of the game it was rather otiose. As I have said, luck.

Working together is all well and good but I'm reading you as evil. So how do we build trust?

I still remember that game where you were evil and just went hard and got me lynched. Your game so far reminds me of that a bit.

I had been reading you as evil too (for the Nothing kill , the misses, and being third on the wagon, and the stuff about how you’d play if you were NI when I feel you’d do the opposite) but this post seals it (as you know better than I do as there’s no way to build trust outside of claiming flog but even that has a use by date in this) . I also don’t think you’d get this read so wrong unless you were doing it on purpose. I prefer voting for less active people and in any case JHF remains my fallback.

That game was fun. I’m rarely evil and almost never NI so I’m unlikely to play that way again when I get that kind of role in a few years.

Last game, I was Alpha, Gralin was Evasive Wolf, and MBR was Werecub, that's what we started out as.

And then we took a gamble and recruited Zerg LOL because he was crying out for it :p
Zerg then took the strategy of pretending multiple factions must have tried to recruit him and it failed, so he was still just a normal villager. Clever clog :p

I'm going to go ahead and assume you started in one of the evil factions until you flip villager with a role. You're almost definitely something.

I protected Nothing as doctor last game and then got shot by the flogs because I had a bad day 1 read on Marc so that can happen. Maybe I'm wrong day 1 two games in a row? My record is better than that though. I probably would have shot MC if I'd had a kill as he's now got 19 outright wins and has won his last two played games in a row. Nothing has died early a lot lately so that would be mean.

Also you really think claiming the lost soul thingy in this game when night immune night 1 isn't a smart play? Every evil/neutral faction recruits so increases odds of recruit attempts rather than missed kills and failed recruits can be explained by more than one faction attempting recruitment.
