They have a fantastic craft beer scene in the US but their big production brands are putrid. Like, Hahn lite ice in a can levels putrid.

I dont drink it here but over there, of course i did. Didnt mind it for the month i was in america - as i said, didnt get a hangover and could get back on it the next day no worries.

I prefer my 'Light" beer as full strength, less calories rather than watered down piss.

Coors Light was what we mainly drank - 4.2%.....

Its over 25 percent difference. Thats pretty big.

It's less actually as Chief quoted, but trhere are others that run around the 4.2% mark standard such as Coors I just always found them very bland in terms of being full flavoured.

I posted the Labatts\Molsens as they were 5% beers and what was our staple as young miscreants in Michigan (and often Canada), and Warstiener (Germany/4.8% and Grolsch/Netherlands 5.0%) so Aussie beer was a bit of a retrograde step for me

More importantly, why is Coors allowed to masquerade as beer??

A friend suggested using Coors as a substitute for tonic in a G+T.

The result was far better than it had any right to be, and better than drinking it straight from the bottle.

Kept hearing how "weak" American beer is before I went but I really didn't notice. And I was looking at the percentages.
