Found this again now. I didn't mention the Greens, only Labor failing to do anything about the media when they've had the chance. That's fair enough
Must be nice to be so idyllic, not like the Greens will ever be in government in my life
I complain about everything, including the media. And because I agree with you that most political discourse is controlled by the media, I'll complain about Labor as long as they refuse to do anything about the concentration of media ownership. Because things won't get better without legacy media either being broken up or replaced by new, less biased media, and the latter is happening far too slowly for us to do what it takes to address climate change before it f**ks us all, or to address the linked problems of homelessness and housing affordability. So you don't complain about anything because everything in this country is driven by the media
Well sure, if someone is complaining about climate change while simultaneously opening new coal mines, their complaints will seem pretty fatuous and hypocritical. That's also how I feel about Labor and legacy media. Anyone wbi has the power to fix the problem and doesn't do so is part of the problem.Stop complaining about shit, there's no use
Stop complaining about climate change
It is exactly Labor. Keating and Hawke are the ones who dragged this country to the right by embracing corporate deregulation, slashing the top income tax rate and engaging in mass privatisation of state assets. Their successors have never seriously pushed back against this. Where is the Labor policy to put limits on corporate profiteering, or address growing wealth inequality, or to reinstate a government-owned presence in critical industries like banking or vaccine manufacturing? So cute
Imagine being this naive.
What has dragged this country to the right and it's not Labor
