Davey would smash Bell I'd think, never seen anyone quicker at a Footy game, remember the goal against the Weagles in Rd. 13? when he burst through the middle, blistering pace.demons_bri said:awsome stuff by bell!
woulda loved to see Davey run it but! i wonder whose faster out of thr 2
Thought that too, didnt get the best of starts and was closing in at the finish was Belly.bigfootball said:good effort, would have won if the race was 20m longer, very quick finish
I was never commenting on my own ability. What are you trying to do? crusade against critisism on Big Footy?dee_molisher said:And like you would know! Easy sitting at your computer writing these flowery statements. Love to see you out there on the footy field.

Bookmarked Clad.Cursed_Cat said:That's funny, cause I'm *still* laughing - Daniel Bell ????
the bloke that actually won the sprint really is a gun ...
bit sad when supporter's start getting excited about a bloke coming runner-up in a mickey mouse race ... Bell will never make any kind of meaningful impact in the AFL.

We'll see if Yze stay hey although you being the smartest person on this forums thinks otherwise and to add cream to you moronic posts, want to recruit a washed up fat carlton forward like Whitnall. Call yourself a Demon supporter. Like I say, if you're the best we've got, no wonder the club is so ********ing hopless.
By the way, have you ever played the game? Or a couch potato?
I cant even work out why their arguing.Jarka said:A moronic, hand bag wielding pussy fan posts a pathetic comment on a demon thread in our board and you guys want to argue with each other?

B. CJ has to play
C. PJ or Green has to go forward
D. All fringe players have to be axed and Rigoni retire
E. Davey must play on the ball!
F. Must choose our best six defenders and stick with it all season.

E. Davey must play on the ball!

AllStar7 said:Let me get this straight, you are angry that people are getting stuck into a selfish, soft Yze for his bad season, but you are sticking the claws into Neita? Neita was actually injured all season (injured= not playing. Yze keeps playing for his record therefore he isn't injured. If you are out there, you are fit). He has been a champion of the club, a great courageous, tough leader. I smell double standards!
As for the above points
A. Who takes over the captaincy? Brucey, Green, Ooze, Whitey are all weak as ******** and need their egos reduced, not enlarged. Miller and McLean are too young
B. CJ has to play, agreed. So do Bell, Jamar, PJ and so on.
C. PJ can't taken overhead marks. He will be bloody useless up forward until he learns (not saying he won't, but currently Jamar up forward would be a better option). Green, whether he plays in the middle or up forward, needs to learn to stand up when we're losing.
D. If you axe all of the fringe players, who do you suggest we play when injuries strike? Remember when we had about 7 or 8 injuries earlier in the year? Besides, any player you get rid of, must be replaced. Considering that our fringe players are not worth much, there is no way we'd be able to replace them with players capable of playing in 2006 (draft picks won't be ready for a year or two). Of our fringe players, Gus should stay another year. Heffernan, Williams and Hunter are gone. The rest are hanging by a thread, and if we can get something for them, then let them go.
E. We need crumbers, if Motlop can fill that void up forward, Davey can be played on the ball. He needs to keep working on his engine though, because I doubt he can play a full game on the ball just yet. Besides, Davey is our only forward who actually bothers to chase. Until the other precious darlings around him start doing their own dirty work, he's more needed up forward.
F. We need a settled backline, agreed. However, we don't have versatile defenders, each one of them can play on only one specific type of forward. Nicholson can only play on slow gorillas, Carroll is a bit the same. Rivers and Ferguson can't play on gorillas, Rivers is not even that tall. Having said that, I would have Whelan, Wheatley, Rivers, Carroll, Ferguson and Brown as our permanent back line. If Brown losses form, send CJ to do his job. Biz will only get a run if Rivers/ Ferguson/ Wheatley are injured. Nicholson should only play when he has proven to be a good match up (i.e.- Richo).
To be honest, I dont think we have anyone right for the job next year other than Neita. Robertson does not have the mind for being captain I feel as he does do some very silly things alot of the time and the rest of them(Yze, Bruce, Green) are probably all too soft.melbournemartin said:guys like Miller, Sylvia, McLean, Moloney and Rivers cannot be captain until they are prooven to be genuine solid and consistant preformers. While we all think/hope that this will be the case for some of not all of them, it isn't at the moment so they therefore need a few more years under their belt before they are taken into consideration.
Johnstone would make a great captain in my opinion. Robertson would to as he is a star player and very well respected at the club and in the footy public in general except I'd prefer to give it to someone in the middle for a change.
