Just been announced on twitter that Ben Hudson has been elevated from the rookie list onto our senior playing list.

That makes 39 on the senior list, so just one spot is now left.

No shock there, he was basically promised the spot as long as he impressed through the pre season, which he has.

Crap rumour going around about Ben Reid being put on the LTI list also, and that Frost has been promoted, but you would think if that was true the club would have released the information at the same time as Hudson's promotion.

He's actually looked better than Jolly this preseason !
To be fair, one is trying to prove himself while the other is just trying to get to round 1 without getting injured.

We'll see the real Jolly come round 1, and yes, he will play, apparently he's already back at the club on light training duties.

Bit dubious about the whole article as the claimed source is the Collingwood website and no news there. While I don't doubt Hudson will be elevated I reckon the author is just speculating re Dwyer/martin. Frost must be favorite on a needs basis

Seems to attempting to score a big scoop, in reality Hudson's elevation is not a matter of if, but when.

I remember an article saying that Hudson was a certainty to get elevated, probably just going off that.

So The Article is Guess Work?

I agree. Another example of some self-titled football journalist writing something that he hopes is going to happen. The club has said previously that it is going to elevate Hudson. The other stuff is flagellation.

Absolutely mate , was more surprised by how fit Hudson was considering he was initially just going to be a ruck coach.

Wasn't this already stated by the club that he will get elevated when we drafted him?
If not, great decision.
At least now, with the addition of Huddo and Lynchy ,we have some genuine mongrel in the side.

This needs to be immediately restarted at Collingwood . "Ben Hudson's Beard Appreciation Society"

Can someone explain home the retire/get rookied and elevated to senior list works in terms of the draft rules?
Is this a sneaky way to bypass trade/draft rules?
Can anyone retire when out of contract then un-retire to be rookied and elevated by another club with no compensation to the team they left?
Does the AFL turn a blind eye if you are a mature age retiring veteran? Could someone like Dale Thomas pull off a shock retiring only to get rookied and elevated after the draft period?
