Yesterday 2pm was close date for uncontracted players on an AFL list.
Players can be delisted when next round of list submissions are required to be lodged and they have Dec 7 as their deadline for nomination.

Rutten and Embley have not been delisted so they along with any other "big" names would have needed to nominate yesterday.

There has been nothing in the media re any big name nominating, and I dont know where to view the list.

I doubt there is a "big fish" to be landed by anyone

From a pretty reliable source. Seems that Rutten was indeed that 'big fish' we were hearing about, but it fell through. Bugger, that would've been a good cherry to put on top

They were discussing this on SEN today and they confirmed that Rutten had signed a two year contract with Adelaide.

Yep unfortuantely for us we've played WCE in both prelims, who have owned us for a while now. But for ageing hacks, they've done a fantastic job ey? You're the last person in the world that should be critisizing finals performances though, how about you make the 8 first before you even think about getting anywhere near a prelim?
