Interesting that he other team that has a lot of foot injuries is Geelong. Where Serpell came from.

I am still of the opinion he is doing alright so time will tell
Coincidence

Every other team is struggling with injuries no better or worse than us. I think it's because ours are either integral to a functioning team - Nank, Lynch, Broad, Mansell - or a promisiing young player - Hotton, Smillie, Cumming. Alger - that makes it seem a lot more damning.

I doubt the board would be up in arms if it was Hopper, Ralphsmith, Ryan etc who were injured :tearsofjoy:
You just know some would be like this if the highlighted were the case

Ralf injured lol Balta told he will play forward so he faked injury lol Man seriously we might un earth some new talent in the VFL for others to snap up. This injury front is getting beyone a joke. The AFL privately tells clubs to tone down trainning as players are hurting themselves nothing about the continious want to increase speed of the game.

What a disaster the fitness and conditioning and medical department is and worse thing they let Yze face the music is already under enough pressurelet let him coach. Tim Livingstone is dead silent and his the footy department manager work that out just like he was when we had the previous flop. Own it and take accountability.

Since we've already lost the game...... the real matter is how many long term injuries will we cop today? Averaging about 3 so is it overs or unders today? How many in grown toenails, haemorrhoid flareups or ouchie tum tums can we see blow out to 8-10 week injuries?

Jonty must have copped a haemorrhoid or two from Aliir Aliir

Should be presenting to the board this week about the multiple stress injuries, probably has one more summer to show improvement in preparing the players over pre-season or sacked

How does the side's injuries compare with other sides?
Has the current nature of AFL with its focus on faster breaks cruelled our younger players physically?
Is this a trend with younger players and draft picks...
Has the AFL created a speedy monster for TV?

So Sims has an elbow injury. During recovery he's sent for scans and its discovered he has a navicular stress fracture in his right foot. OK maybe random. But wait here comes Rhyan Mansell:
Injury 1: Fractured wrist (sustained in Round 1. Hes given random scans and voila: Injury 2: Bone stress in foot...... what are the odds if all our players are sent away for compulsory scans it turns out there's more cases of stress in their feet cos some genius/gimp thought he can reinvent the wheel by "teaching our players how to run betterer"............ smells like a snake oil salesman/ fraud/ shizenhuzen artist!

If someone can produce evidence of Usain Bolt doing serpents gimpy running drill and a video of Usain declaring serpent a genius and the secret of his success I'll concede! Failing that I think our dumbarse CEO has been hoodwinked! How many more TBC's and 8-10 week leg injuries can we sustain til KB and St Francis have to come out of retirement.

Lets forget about the fact that Mansell reported foot soreness to the club physios but they just decided to give him a random scan. Sims was an end of season routine scan that found the navicular fracture.

It's not like that are having a random bingo night where if you win you get a free random scans for no reason. So much tin foil hat conspiracy crap going on around here lately.

Rhyan Mansell: Foot, TBC

“Following his wrist surgery, Rhyan presented to the club with some foot soreness also. We investigated that, and we also detected some bone stress in his foot,” Serpell said.

“Unfortunately, it's a bit more progressed than where Harry Armstrong's is, and he's actually going to have to undergo surgery later this week and will be out for another three to four months.”

Unfortunately, Sims sustained an ulnar ligament injury in Richmond’s Round 20 VFL game against Sandringham last year, cutting his debut season short. Additionally, after a routine medical scan, results showed a navicular stress fracture in his right foot.

Hey bozo you're focussing on the wrong bullsh1t! Who gives a rats arse about the why, when, what, who, where reason a scan was taken. The important fact is his horse 💩 running program has resulted in us being both slow and tired runners with long term leg injuries coming out of our ears. I stand by the statement an obese 55 yo housewife with zero knowledge or expertise about running could get a better result. She'd cost less money too. If he stays Dunne is a complete loser and spineless cuck with no business running the club

Haven’t followed the details closely but it seems to me we have a high rate of foot and soft tissue injuries and our fitness staff have spent considerable time training our players to run differently. Cause and effect right there I’d say

For Sims in particular Navicular injuries are so difficult to heal and get right. Him being TBC makes sense with how easily those injuries flare.
