Yes I saw it. I also said I want to give Ryder 6 weeks at least. It is impossible to tell after 1 week whether Ryder will be a ruckman. Let him do it for a number of weeks. Like it will matter anyway, and long term it is better to find out now in a rubbish season with not much meaning than having to find out in 2 years when we need to know. We won't be winning many games this year so trying out Ryder in the ruck isn't the worst idea. I also want to see him given a go on the wing ala Richardson.

i have grave concerns about shifting ryder from defence to ruck to wing etc. it has kepler bradley written all over it. the boy was playing well in defence and now he looks unsure. stick him where he is comfortable which is in defence - we have hille for no.1 ruckspot so why tamper with a player just to be a 2nd string ruckman?

having listened to the vfl game today i don't think any of these guys playing today will warrant selection given lucas and houli should be available. i'd say out jetta/daniher and in lucas/houli. if they decide to drop lovett then maybe rama comes in.

I just think that Ryder doesn't have the body or fitness yet to play that role. Early in the season he was excellent in the backline and then after a couple of quiet games, they shuffled him around which made the situation worse. Our defence is struggling at the moment and he is one player who has been able to stick with an opponent, his judgement is first class also when reading opposition kicks into the 50. Keep him in one perminant spot, let him settle and give him time

I missed one - James Podsiadly (Werribee captain and club leading goalkicker) - was on Essendon's reserves list in 2000/2001.

On Cartledge, he's been going pretty well at Coburg this year, after a good season with North Ballarat last year, which earned him a Richmond rookie place.

As for Thomas, he was never ACTUALLY bad for us. When he got out there, he was okay. But, only giving him the one year to make it wasn't a good idea and he's braining them at Central Districts.

Hi Guys.

On behalf of 1611 AM I want to apologize for the drop-out during Sunday's Broadcast of the Coburg & Bendigo game.

We've had some tech problems the last 3 Sundays and to make it worse last Sunday we had our normal tech working for SEN that day and our Saturday Tech/Jack of all trades wasn't at Coburg for the 2nd half, having to set up for the Ice Hockey for it's 4.35pm broadcast.

As Murphy's law would have it, when he wasn't at Coburg we went off air and the Callers were not aware of the problem or did not know how to fix it.

I know myself how to fix it, but I'm only with the Saturday team, not the Sunday team - it's a behind the scene political thing.

However we also had a major malfunction on Saturday - that however has been fixed during the week.

Anyway we are lucky this week as we don't have to call, with 1611 AM taking the 5RPH feed for the State Game.

Mind you, though we are an amateur station we should never allow this happen.

Though I'm only a caller/producer of the Saturday call, I offer my apologies for these non-broadcasts, and hope we can offer you a more professional broadcast in the future.

yeh cause he is brainig them at that level u would expect him 2. alot of players do. doesnt mean they are good enogh 2 play at the top level

Had he not got that knee injury last year, he would have been on the Essendon senior list this year. Really does a lot of hard work in the guts for Bendigo, often it seems without a lot of good support (JJ aside).
