With another full pre season under their belts im hoping they blossom as Yarran has this season .
Each new year you must develop the team and top quality youth rarely lets you down when given a chance .
I like the progress of Tuohy and think he gives us a lot of options .
The final spot on the bench is up for grabs ??? may the best man win !!!

Hampson is the wildcard to me.

Kruezer is an onball animal so i'm not gonna fiddle around with him as a forward. Him and 205 ruck off the bench with Kruze also doing a few rotations as a power onballer.

Hammer needs to be trained up all pre-season as a pure full forward. He has the potential to be very good. If it doesn't work by around mid season, then Mitchell should be ready bodywise to be blooded.

Thoughts?

Don't believe Either Mitchell or Watson will see much game time next year. I like to think Hammer has more to offer than 206 but will need to prove this in the pre season.

Thornton may struggle for game time with Hendo, Jamo, Duigan, Laidler, Waite and 2 ruckmen in the team.

I read something the other day that both Geelong and Pies rarely tag opposition players as they consider it a waste of a player.

Although my earlier post had Carrots as a shoe in for a tagging role, after reading the article I'm starting to wonder about bothering with a tagger as well. if that were the case Carrots may well struggle to retain a spot.

I've advocated our midfield attack more in terms of personnel (ie; include Gibbs in the middle fulltime as an example) and mindset (less worrying about the opposition's play makers) for awhile now so in a world where I could actually put this to Ratts I'd love to know his thoughts.

Personally I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing more of Lucas in the seniors. Could play HF, wing or HB, has pace and is a great reader of the play.

Whilst Hampson has the potential to be a very accomplished ruckman, these same comments re Hampson about a potential forward are a repeition of the last three years, he is highly unlikely to make as a forward, which was very evident the first half of this season when he spent significant time there with Kruezer absent with performances being quite average at best, Mitchell looks a much more natural forward and he is the one that is more of the two to be a forward for us if his body stands up.

I believe guys like Lucas, hampson, russell and kreuzer will have a massive pre seasons and safely be in our 22. Kreuzer will step up and be our number ruck and it's like having another midfielder with a fully fit kreuz. Imagine he performs that game against Sydney. Hampson is a better forward than warnock and he's kick a few bags in the vfl. Russell will be out and about back in 2010 form

Watsons leg could be critical in last quarters. (needs to trim down).
