Who are your favourites to listen to?

Best
I enjoy Martin Tyler and Jon Champion. Tyler I like for his stats and knowledge and just describes the play in a calm manner without feeling the need to add much else and it works. Champion just has one of those voices that I just associate with football, a lot like Motson. Another who calls it as it is and never really shows any bias or disrespect to any team.

Worst
Peter Drury is an absolute flog for mine. I get that his job is to add excitement and importance to the game but he doesn't have to make every match seem like a life or death situation. I also hate how he tries to make every sentence he says sound like something that should be immortalised in football commentary. I get how some may like this but to me he comes across as a try-hard who loves the sound of his voice.

The best ones for me would have the be the Kiwi's they get to do Phoenix games in the A-League. Just because of their accents

The Phoenix commentators are pretty biased too, sometimes they forget theres more than team actually playing over there.

Peter Drury is the Dwayne Russell of premier league commentating.

Tony Gale is an absolute campaigner too. He hates Chelsea with a passion and spends 90% of the match paying out on David Luiz because he's not a 'good English defender'. I remember he said he was a Chelsea fan once. Bull****ingshit.

Dean Sturridge is a decent commentator but his voice is like nails on a chalkboard. David Pleat is hilariously bad. Has he ever pronounced a foreign player's name right?

The ESPN commentators are all borderline autistic.

Martin Tyler is decent occasionally, as is Jon Champion.

Best - All the Sky Sports ones, they all sound the same to me and blend into a 7/10
Worst - The ESPN ones, I'm at the point I mute it and watch the game out of the corner of my eye.

Agree that the ESPN commentators are the worst and by a fair way too. There is one English special comments commentator that used to give me the shits he was really negative with just about anything that came out of his mouth don't know his name though.

Everyone else I've heard seems fine.

Yeah for me they mostly blend into one, I find some hard to tell apart, but they're generally decent.

Always makes me laugh when they argue that a "handball wasnt deliberate", or "he got the ball first", or "there was contact so he is entitled to go down".

Problem us there ignorance influences a generation of equally ignorant TV supporters.

Can't really remember if he commentates but I do like Mark Bosnich's opinion on games. Reckon he makes the EPL Half Time show watchable. Doesn't show bias at all.

Tyler would have to be my favourite, as has been said Drury is almost unbearable.

Well I actually like the atmosphere of Peter Drury, so shoot me Tyler is alright, just sometimes when theres a goal scored, my nan would get more emotion into the commentary, than he does.

I love Peter Drury, his call of our league win was amazing. Tyler is great. Champion is probably at the top right now. John Motson was awesome.

Steve Banyard's voice is pretty annoying of the current ones, maybe it's because he always seems to call United games
